I was given DS 5535 form during H1 b drop box appointment. I did not get any update for almost 2 months, we sent several emails to embassy and even contacted senator and congressman but nothing helped. I was on without pay and my kids were missing school. I am a student seeking my educations in US. I applied for a student visa in a foreign US consulate.
