OVER PROMISES AND UNDER DELIVERS

In 2019, I hired Larry Forman based on his strong, online presence and almost 100, 5-star reviews. At my first meeting with Larry, without even looking at any of the evidence in my case, he said he could definitely win my case at trial. However, Larry never had any intention of taking my case to tr...ial. The only thing Larry did was reschedule my trial date for over 6 months without my knowledge or consent. Larry never showed up to court himself, but instead, had his associates come on his behalf whom I had never met. Plus, he never told me he was not coming to court himself. Therefore, a few times, I went to court looking for Larry even though he told me that I did not need to attend any of the court dates. Our communications were limited to email or text which I initiated, and he never called me to discuss my case which I think is very unprofessional. Later that year, Larry emailed me and said that he still planned on taking my case to trial to which I agreed. This same month, he set up the first phone appointment with me to discuss my case, over 6 months after I hired him. However, I was shocked that Larry called me while he was at the airport, going on vacation, so the background was very noisy and not private. During this conversation, I was flabbergasted that Larry totally changed his tune and told me that he did not think we would be successful at trial, and I would need to find another attorney because I questioned this. Next, in November 2019, there was a major issue that arose because I did not attend the very last court date because Larry did not tell me to attend. To my surprise, Larry emailed me that I should have shown up to court because there was a bench warrant for my arrest, but he refused to help me. He said I needed to hire a new attorney to get this bench warrant set aside and to take my case. I have 11 emails, from Larry, over a 6 month time period in which he clearly stated that he is taking my case to trial. He never said I did not have a triable case until over 6 months after I hired him. Larry blames these issues on an associate whom he fired. However, Larry is the only one I communicated with. Of course, Larry has tried to discredit my reputation and this honest review by saying things about me that are untrue. Larry gave me a refund because he did not do the job he was paid to do, and he didn't want me to leave him a bad review. Why would any attorney give their client a full refund if they truly believed they did the job they were hired to do? Lastly, Larry never did work for me for free. His miscommunication is why I received the bench warrant, and he only helped me because I threatened to leave him a bad review. Google will not allow me to add the 13 emails with Larry as proof.

Dear Ms _________, I am sorry about the experience you have had with our firm 4 years ago. At the time, I had an associate who has since been fired for mishandling of clients' cases and has since been replaced. It doesn't sound like me to say that I could "definitely win [your] case at trial." -- I don't talk like that to my clients. I probably indicated that based on the information I had, you had good chances to win. Then, 6 months later, after we conducted a full investigation of the facts, I learned that your case was untriable and unwinnable, probably because, since you were operating a motor vehicle under the influence, the state would be able to prove that you actually did it and we didn't have many strong defenses. I am a man of worth -- and when I see that I cannot accomplish what you ask me to do -- win a completely unwinnable case -- I gave back all of your money and even did some free work for you, i.e. setting the bench warrant aside for your failure to come to court. I hope you were able to get your case resolved with a new attorney and I appreciate you leaving this feedback for others to see that we handle our cases very seriously, as most of what you wrote does not sound like me -- it sounds like you have a personal vendetta against me as a person, so I wish you nothing but love in return. God Bless you. Edit: I figured out who you were by digging in my records. Ms. ________, I refunded your money because I told you I could not win at trial. You ended up pleading guilty to the charge, taking it on appeal and losing the case, again, last year, on March 18, 2022. I did everything I could, and when I saw that you were an extremely unreasonable person, I fired you and refunded 100% of your money (because I did not need any more unreasonable behavior from you). We even continued to work for you free of charge, on multiple occasions, as you were looking for a new attorney to replace us. I see that nothing is enough for you, and I also see that you like to leave 1 star reviews, as evidenced by your Google profile. I wish you nothing but the best and good luck in your life endeavors.

No office and no contact

They don’t have a office and paid the lawyer for a bail hearing and for $2,500.00. I got 2 calls to me and 1 appearance in court online. Told judge my wife has COVID and working from home. NEVER TALKED TO MY SON THE CLIENT. Claimed he filed this and that paperwork Don’t WASTE YOUR MONEY. I know when ...I’m lied to about what my money was spent on. Go to Cox, he has a office and will do his job.

I am sorry about the experience you've had with our firm. You paid us to have a bond hearing for your son and the judge denied our motion and request. We spoke to your son and we made the argument to the judge. However, we do not control what the judge does and you knew the risks involved as we had a thorough discussion over the phone about the chances of the judge granting our request. You chose to proceed and are now regretting your move. I understand that and feel for you. We offered to represent him, but you said you could not afford our services beyond the bond hearing. I hope your son gets out as soon as possible.
