I found John Watts while searching for information on personal debt statutory limitations and contacted his office. His assistant fielded my questions to see if she could answer them for me. However, because of the type and amount of debt I was dealing with, she recommended that I speak to John dir...ectly. He wasn't available at the time so she set a time for him to call me when it was convenient for BOTH of us which happened to be in the evening. (Not many attorneys will speak to you, especially someone that isn't already a client, outside of normal business hours.) He answered my questions, offered advice and determined my case would be best suited for a different type of attorney to which he referred me. John is very professional but down-to-earth and genuinely cares about his clients or potential clients. He wants to help solve your problems! If he feels you will be best served by another attorney, he will tell you so. Unlike some attorneys that are all about the money and want you to hire them even if their not specialized in the area of law that you require representation. I highly recommend John Watts!

Mr. Watts and his staff have been a beacon of light at the end of a very dark tunnel (for anyone going through a home foreclosure) but especially for me. There is a bounty of free information on his website, alabamaconsumer.com, where he also answers questions and even refers people to other attorney...s if they are out of state. His videos are both informative and reassuring; and in my case, (post-foreclosure) other attorneys were either uninterested or believed nothing could be done. I would absolutely recommend a consultation with Mr. Watts, because at least you will know where you stand and what options may be available to you. That knowledge gives you real piece of mind, so you can move forward and make informed decisions. Also, Mr. Watts puts no pressure on you to hire him. He answered numerous questions and gave me a tremendous amount of guidance before I made the decision to hire him. I was sued by Midland, a company who had "purchased" an old debt of mine, and was attempting to collect on it, and as the single income of a family of 8, I was terrified. There was no way we could pay that, and although I wished to make good on my debt someday, I wanted to pay my debtor, not some thi...rd party. I found John Watts website, and watched several of his videos. Realizing I was probably not confident enough to fight the case myself, I contacted his office, and after speaking with one of his assistants, and then with John himself (all done very quickly after I contacted them I might add) I hired him to handle the case. His team kept in constant contact throughout the process, and was a joy to work with, and due to his work, Midland requested dismissal before it even went to trial.
