John has a way of explaining legal matters that removes the mystery and intimidation that I would normally feel. I have watched his videos and listened to his teleseminars on various consumer law topics and he has a way of simplifying the law into useful information for those of us who aren't lawyers... but who need guidance. When I had questions about Power of Attorney and Living Wills, etc. to help with my aging mother, he took the time to explain things so clearly and point me in the right direction even though that is not the area of law he practices. I think he is truly what lawyers/attorneys were called long ago - "counselor". He explains options, provides guidance and is honest about his ability to help or not. His relaxed and easy manner along with his knowledge puts you immediately at ease in what can otherwise be a very stressful situation.

When a debt collector called my employer(I work in child care) and told my boss that I had commited a felony and that she should run a records check on me, it was devestating.
