September 2017 I went to The Law Place, referred from 2 friends who had been very successful there, not knowing where to turn. I had managed to put myself into a situation that landed me in big trouble. DUI 2nd offense! I met with David and he, with little details to go off of (nothing was uploaded a...t the clerk of courts office yet), took the time to explain each route we could go down with the details I shared. With his direction and experience we worked together for a year and 8 months trying to resolve each detail that had transpired. I’m so fortunate to have found David and his assistant Marla. With his patients and knowledge ALL of my charges were dropped. In the beginning he advised me it was very unlikely that we would be able to get through this without a trial. He and his team worked what seemed effortlessly over the months as my case was passed around by the states attorneys office, pre-trial hearing after pre-trial hearing with manatee county constantly rescheduling my motions over and over, we finally got in front of the judge. My motion to suppress the evidence had my emotions heightened. I, not really having much faith in the system, was amazed how attentive my attorney was in capturing every detail or what seemed to me as false information given to the judge by the other side. They argue with pure and just the right amount of aggressive expertise. Then after this long battle I received the phone call. ALL CHARGES WERE DROPPED. The judge was able to provide multiple pages of reasons why he felt this was an unlawful stop because of all the hard work The Law Place, specifically David and Marla, had put into my case. I just want to say Thank you for the constant communication and not giving up! Answering all my emails and phone calls with a sense of urgency and not letting it slide. I highly recommend David to be on your side!

In short, David was awesome! I had two charges brought against me – 1) Careless Driving and 2) Failure to remain at the scene of an accident. Specifics aside, neither one would look good on one’s driving resume, especially when you are a newly-minted commercially-rated pilot pursuing a career flying... (Fact: The FAA can and will use anything against you – LOL!). Quite honestly, I was shocked and didn’t know where to start. Thankfully, a person I know was familiar with David and recommended him. After an initial call into his office (while I was panicking) got no response within what I felt to be an agonizing length of time (Again, I was panicking, so it seemed like forever, but was probably only an hour or so), I called back and was immediately connected directly to David. He chatted with me for quite some time explaining what outcomes are possible, what outcomes are preferred, and what he hopes to accomplish. He was very personable, and explained things in relatively simple terms. As far was my outcome is concerned, I couldn’t have expected better! Charge #1 was dismissed. Charge #2 ended in a deferred prosecution, which from my understanding, it pretty much the same as having it dropped as long as you complete all requirements (in my case, a relatively small fee) provided you don’t get into any more trouble for the next 6 months. Oh, and one more thing – I have to give kudos to Marla as well! She was also awesome and super at keeping me updated along the journey!

I have used david and his firm for the past 5 years for different infractions ive gotten in my travels throughout the state...each time i have consulted with him, and had him represent me, the end result was well worth it! most recently, i contacted him regarding a speeding ticket in another county a...nd upon reviewing the infraction i was charged with, he informed me the officer cited me for the wrong code! took it to court and case dismissed! I would have never thought to look at the statute i was charged with as being incorrect....if not for Davids experience in realizing this error, i would have been stuck with a hefty speeding fine! I am very thankful for his professionalism and knowledge most other attorneys would have never noticed!
