Mr Haenel took my call at 10 pm one night to discuss my traffic court case, we spoke for about 30 minutes and he was very interested in the case, even going above and beyond what he needed to do to inform me of my rights and options. My wife received a DUI in Sarasota in Oct. 2009. Certain circumstances made her case particularly tough (property damage, a very high blood-alcohol level, etc.). We hired David and his firm, and they did a truly excellent job. My wife received as lenient a sentence as was possible; but David's help w...ent beyond his ability to negotiate a good deal with the prosecutor's office: he and his colleagues helped persuade my wife to do various things that would help her defense (attend AA, get therapy, etc.), and would also help her (beyond her legal woes, that is). Last summer, my wife received a 2nd DUI in another part of the state (yes, she has a problem, which she is now conquering). Although it had been several months since David had worked on her first case, I contacted him to ask for advice, and he was impressively generous and courteous with his assistance (in helping us finrd a lawyer on the east coast, among other things). I really couldn't recommend David and his firm highly enough: their diligence, skill, and professionalism are highly laudable.

I contacted Mr. Haenel to represent me in Seminole County after a moment of mid-life crisis stupidity. From the very first day I found he and his assistants to be nothing but professional. They sympathized with the position I was in and always told me the facts. Never did they promising anythi...ng they felt they could not deliver on, nor did they ever leave me feeling there was no hope. The court drug my case out for six months. Obviously worried, I called frequently and they always made time to speak with me. I was quite impressed the couple of times I called after hours and Mr. Haenel himself answered the phone. Haenel and Finebloom -- Haenel in particular, from what I observed in the courtroom -- seem to be good DUI attorneys. Ultimately, I found that it was worth $3500 to hire them. For a long time, though, they left me at the mercy of an assistant who was not fully experienced or competent. She did not of...fer clear communications or advice; she did not respond quickly to emails; she confused me with other clients; and at times it seemed that she knew little about DUI legal issues or Florida law. At the end, though, Haenel came through; but for several weeks I was very nervous and not too optimistic, even though I had a relatively strong case
