On a positive note, they started out with good communication and follow-up. I spoke with the attorney twice. The first time he made broad statements that did not apply in my case. I recommended that he read over the materials I had sent before we spoke again. The second time he had read some of t...he issues and offered to bring me on as a client, but only if I was willing to do a quick deal. It seemed to me like he just wanted to make quick cash and not do any real work. When I turned him down, they withdrew the agreement, so from my memory the initial agreement read that I was paying 45% for helping to file with the EEOC and have them write a demand letter and that anything else would be negotiated later. The worst part was that the lawyer was sometimes condescending and at one time I felt like he tried to make me feel stupid when I suggested something, and wasn't jumping on his "quick-fix" offer--that sort of attitude is what I expected from my past employer.
