Michael Waddington did a fantastic job defending my son, a Sr. Airman in a sexual assault case. My son was found not guilty because Michael was able to cross examine the prosecution's witnesses and expose their inconsistencies which led the jury to conclude there was obvious reasonable doubt, The G...overnment (prosecution) was determined to sentence my son. By doing so , he would have been labeled as a sex offender for the rest of his life with possibly a 20+ year prison sentence. When the prosecution did it's opening statements, I felt my heart sink to the floor, but when Michael countered with his, I knew the prosecution was in for a war which Michael ultimately won. My son was released from the Air Force and is now free to start his life over. Michael made that happen. If I had chosen to continue with the military lawyer appointed, I have no doubt that my son would have been convicted a sex offender and serving many years of jail time, I also have to acknowledge Alexandra Gonzalez - Waddington, Michael's wife and law partner. She is incredible and a perfect compliment to Michael. Her "hand holding" was so compassionate. I had so many questions leading up to my son's trial. Now I know why Michael can't always be available while he is concentrating on a trial. She put myself and family at ease by answering all our concerns. This guy has such good reviews for a reason. I'm a single father of two and busted my nads for the Army, but the mother of my children had other plans. My dilemma all started back in June 2018. You would think that your command/leadership are the people that would have your back and support you but this fantasy was all a myth. In reality they’re the ones that will put you in the shithole. At this time I was putting my trust in them disclosing inform...ation to them but they weren’t trying to help me they were all fake people concerned about their ranks and the limited information I gave them they tried using against me. They were trying get information to help out the prosecution team. I was left in confinement for 5 months with no end in sight for a trial. That is when my family and I decided to bring in the big gun which came in the form of Mr. Waddington. From the moment my family consulted and spoke to his wife Alexandra we knew he was our guy. When I first got to talk to him about my case he was very straight forward, transparent and I could tell he’s been in this business dealing with situations like mine. Questionable allegations of Art. 120 began almost two years ago. Michael was hired after a pitiful NCIS investigation led to filing of charges. Although you may have many questions, your scared, and Michael may be hard to reach at times, you need to realize that he is out there defending others in ...similar situations whose cases may be going to trial a lot sooner than your own. Be patient, talk to no one, and I mean no one. Your command will attempt to ask questions, your “most trusted” friends will ask questions. Say nothing, your Art. 31 rights are stated for a reason and even if they’re not, keep your mouth closed. Everything will be used against at your specific type of Court Martial. Above all, keep motivated and DO NOT slack in your job/position. DO NOT get in any additional trouble for should any acquittal come of your case, any negative aspects since an allegation will most likely lead to an administrative discharge. Keep your head high and stay low on your commands radar. Within weeks of the Court Martial, Michael and his team were preparing for battle against an unrelenting prosecution and an alleged victim who should of been getting court Martialed themselves. Michael and his team dived into everything and the day of trial his tactics were amazing to watch. Michael reads and observed everything going on in the court room. During closing he gave the jury essentially a script of exactly what the prosecution would do. During the prosecutions repetitive closing, they did just as Michael stated. Michael was tactful, diligent, and smart. Deliberations were limited and the outcome was a full acquittal. If you’re accused of a crime and you feel like money is holding you from hiring Michael, think smart. Going to a Court Martial could mean losing everything you ever worked for, your family, friends, and any potential future you dreamed of. If you have to sell everything, sell it.
