Prior to my meeting Mr. Gregg my brother had retained him as his attorney on 3 felony charges. My brother at some point was incarcerated with no bond in Dade county jail. I found out after the fact and met Mr. Gregg at one of my brothers court appearances. Mr. Gregg treated me very well and worked... hand in hand with me every step of the way to eventually win the trial. Mr. Gregg understood that my brother could not continue to pay and never tried to pressure me or my family for money, he was very understanding of the situation. My uncle and I put together 1500.00 and paid for an independent psychiatric examination that Mr. Gregg facilitated but that was the only extra money paid. I hired this attorney november of 2008 and he spoke so highly of himself. I explained to him I was a single mother but that I was very serious about my case. I had little money saved up but was willing to pay him in full to make sure that he di what needed to be done. I did pay him in full. My son's... father had already went through one lawyer prior to him and recieved insufficient counsel .He not only never returns phones calles but he lies about all of the court procedures. He ignores the severity of the cases. He gets upset when it is brought to his attention that he is not doing his job correctly. I recieved several opinions from other attorneys and they agree that I should recieve some money back and no longer allow him to handle my case. I had to call each person myself to find out any information. I spoke with administration, cicuit clerks, and state's attorneys. I had to call BSO & transport units just to find out that that paper work he was supposed to have filled out and gave them was never completed or sent in as he had told me. My son's father has been sitting in jail the whole time while his freedom is left in this man's hands. He does nothing. He cares zero. And his excuse is "It's the state" he blames them for everything. Do not attempt to waste time with this man. He will make it sound so wonderful but oly to find out it was all a scam.
