Bad reviews have been deleted.

As someone who has previously written a review on Mr Allen, I’ve noticed my initial review had been deleted. He was a mess and I hate to say it. He drug out my case for the longest of times. I had to hire two separate attorneys who both couldn’t believe his lack of action and urgency in a child custo...dy case. They were in shock going over the lack of effort. It was as if he could care less. He was horrible at responding to emails. He would never update you on anything. After dropping him and going with other legal help my case was done in under a month. I never realized how having a responsive attorney can give you a peace of mind and Mr. Allen lacked that. Call me crazy, but I’d like my attorney to keep me updated with my case instead of sit it on the back burners for months on end. I unfortunately recommended him to two other people who hired him and they both had same experience as I did. I feel terrible for the referral. These cases are important and deserve attention.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

Mr.Allen and his team have been such a blessing...They took my case, informed me every step of the way, never made ANY decision's without my consent and are by far worth every penny. Mr.Allen and his team have worked with me for the past 2 years and I wouldn't trade them for anyone else, they're ext...remely knowledgeable and beyond trustworthy. Thank you so much for all your help and support. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!

A poor to mediocre attorney at best

I felt like during my divorce mediation he was more concerned about convincing me to settle at any cost so he could get home by 5pm. There's nothing like being tag-teamed by your own attorney and opposing counsel to give your ex more than 50% (costing me tens of thousands of dollars) just to be done... in a day. He then conveyed his lack of conviction to the mediator which only weakened our negotiating position. I only received a half way decent deal by sticking to my guns and compromising to a fraction of the degree he repeatedly pushed me toward. Legal and tax issues then came up later from that agreement that I felt he could have easily preempted if he either had more experience in divorce law or had been more engaged. Lastly, I often found Mr. Allen unresponsive through emails with inconsistent communication practices. On a personal level, he is friendly and pleasant, but on a professional level I cannot recommend him.

I strive to always provide the best service possible to my clients which includes an honest opinion about their case. My over 30 years of experience has taught me a lot, and I must respectfully disagree with the above comments. My staff and I pride ourselves on the high level of commitment and attention we give to every case. The above client made the choice to settle his case in mediation - The choice was his (not mine) and the result obtained was, in my opinion, very good. Some people suffer "buyer's remorse" after settling a case - sometimes it's because they really wanted to keep the litigation going, sometimes it's for other reasons. But whatever the reasons, the decision to settle is made by the client -- not the attorney. I can only advise the client about the law, and likelihood of success should the case proceed to trial. This client made the decision to settle his case, after being fully apprised. The result obtained, in my opinion, was very good. It is unfortunate this client regrets his decision (especially in light of the very good result obtained), but the decision was the client's --- not the attorneys. However, anytime a client is not 100% happy, it concerns me because I and my office staff work very hard to provide excellent service. I believe the services I provided to this client were consistent with my firm's goals, and that the result obtained on his behalf was very good.

Super Lawyer

David has represented me since the early 80's in complicated criminal, and traffic cases. David always explained the charges against me, and after doing his legal research contacted me for an office visit. David explained the outcome Of each case depending on my plea. All cases were either reduce...d or dropped. In one unique case the entertainment giant Universal Studios had fabricated charges against me, and David had all charges dropped.

Lost ground on my case because of this lawyer...Child Custody/Child Support

Wow, I read a previous review and was surprised to see someone’s review almost match my feelings exactly. I wish I reviewed this site before hiring Mr. Allen. I too felt like he was more concerned about convincing me to settle and I most DEFINITELY felt like I was being tag-teamed by him and opposin...g counsel! I knew it was time to move on when the opposing counsel made reference of me being uncooperative because I went against my attorney’s advice that he NEVER gave me and especially when he told me he would read my comments to the proposed plan the day before mediation and I quote “this is how it works.” He did not keep me informed unless I contacted him or scheduled a meeting with him and I definitely lost trust in him. To top it off he provided me with the wrong financial affidavit form which I completed and now have to redo because my new lawyer pointed out that it was the incorrect form (either not knowledgeable or didn’t pay attention)! I feel I wasted my time and money and lost ground on my case as a result. I do not recommend him for a child support child custody matter. On a personal level, however, he seemed pleasant.

The above comment was by posted by an anonymous person. The situation is not one that I recognize. As reflected by my numerous positive reviews, I stay in close contact with my clients and I am always a zealous advocate on their behalf. With that said, there are times when a client's goals are not supported by the facts and the law, and I am always honest with my clients who hire me to render an honest opinion. If this post is from an actual client, I regret that you were unsatisfied and I wish only the best for your situation. I strive for 100% client satisfaction.
