I hired Mr. Schachter in October of 2018 to regain custody of my 6 year old son. I hired another attorney 5 months beforehand and needless to say that turned out to be a disaster. David quickly fixed my previous attorney's horrendous mistakes and took an abundance of time and consideration on my ca...se. He took the time to collect every detail and every piece of evidence I had, even made great suggestions on things I should obtain for our case. He offers suggestions but in the end will do what YOU want to do. He makes sure you have a say in everything he does, which is phenomenal. Best experience considering the situation. My Ex and her attorney had been building their divorce case for two years. David Schachter destroyed their entire case after I contacted him one day prior to the hearing (not recommended to wait that long). His knowledge and love for his work can be felt ...at the first call to his receptionist (leaders transfer their energy). I could continue, but you get my point. David and his team are exceptional. Hiring him to counter the ruthless attorney representing my ex was the best decision I made. I had other counsel before I decided they were not up to the task of trial in my case. At first I was nervous to switch attorneys in the midst of my case because the proces...s up to that point had already been quite expensive. I went with my gut and made the switch and it was the best thing I could have done. It was still expensive, but it was also worth every penny. I know for a certainty that without David's hard work and skill there is no way I would have achieved the favorable outcome I did in my case. In court David's trial performance was so superb that we won more in court than we requested, and far more than we were willing to settle for outside of court. I know that not many people can make such a claim, but in my case it's the absolute truth. While divorce is a horrible experience, The Schachter Law Firm made this process more favorable than one could expect in such unfortunate circumstances. The final result in my case was a tremendous victory, and I know that it is rare that someone can say that about a divorce case. Regardless of the complexity of your case you should run to hire Mr. Schachter. And if the other side hires David first you should really consider settling. Nothing gets past him. My ex made the mistake of thinking he was too smart and could explain everything his way. Big mistake. David exposed it all and made my ex look like a complete fool on the stand.
