Simply the Best

Mr. David Schachter is the best divorce attorney there is. He represented me in my divorce 3 years ago. He fought for my children and I, and got us the best outcome we could have asked for. 3 years after my divorce, when my ex served me papers to take me back to court, I knew exactly who to call. Dav...id will fight for you. He is well known and respected by his peers. He truly cares about his clients and their outcome. He is more than just an attorney. He helps guide people through one of the most difficult times of their lives. I will forever be grateful for David and all of the hard work that he put in fighting for me and my family.

Divorce

I would like to thank the Schachter Law Firm. David is a brilliant and detail oriented attorney. His insights into my case was amazing in that he perceived legal matters that were beyond my comprehension. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful and most importantly genuinely concerned about my personal and... financial well-being. He listened intently to all my concerns and provided appropriate solutions. He was patient and meticulous. He and his staff were wonderful and I was kept totally apprised on all aspects of my case. I would highly recommended him because he is an intelligent and wise attorney who did exactly what he said he would do!! Oh, he was incredible in the courtroom and he will expose falsities.

By far the BEST attorney you could ask for

First and foremost, it should speak to the caliber and level of mastery an attorney has when he is always busy. Some attorneys have an abundance of time. David does not. He is busy, he is sought after and for very good reason - He is the best you will find. My ex-wife and I divorced in 2015. We l...ived in Virginia at the time of marriage and separation and she moved down to Georgia while pregnant with my twin boys. I still live in Virginia. As anyone can imagine, the scenario I just painted for you proves to be a very difficult situation. When I hired my divorce attorney here in Virginia to handle my divorce...it went terribly. The attorney I hired buried me and didn't do anything to fight for my rights as the husband OR the father. Because my ex moved to Georgia, the custody and child support shifted from Virginia to Georgia. I needed someone who would advocate for me. I needed someone who understood what rights I have as a father and who would be fair and reasonable. I haven't asked for anything crazy, I haven't sought out to ruin my ex-wife's life...I simply want to be a father to my kids. That is all. David understands that. He takes what you say seriously. He is one of the few genuine attorneys out there that cares about his clients. He gives you the straight line. He doesn't sugar coat things and he doesn't give you false hopes. He will clearly define the requirements, what your options are and what he can do to maximize the options you have. And I will tell you this: When you are sitting in a mitigation room...across the table from your ex-wife and her attorney - there is no one else you want on your side of the table. I promise. David doesn't play around with your time or your money. His team, specifically Lisa, ensures that things get done in a timely manner. Keep in mind, David is a one man army...so sometimes that time frame isn't as quick as a major firm with 17 attorneys and 45 admin assistants - but what he lacks in work force he makes up for in follow-through and expertise. Unfortunately for me, I am going to need an attorney for the next 18 years. Fortunately for me, I have David as an attorney..so I am not worried about much.

Listened, heard, acted

As a parent I knew my son needed legal advise, his x to be was not going to be nice. After all I helped her draw up her 1st divorce papers and so I taught her well. My son would do anything for his daughters and she knew it. She drew up papers on her own falsifying information to the court. I conta...cted Mr. Schacter office and spoke with Lisa. She got us an appointment just days before 1st court date. Mr. Schacter met with us reviewed the paperwork, my son was up front and honest about his marriage and her infidelities and after listening to my son, there was no doubt he heard him. Mr Schacter flew into gear once we said your hired. This was June, August 10th divorce final. No support, she would have to pay but my son declined. 50/50 everything including custody which is working out well.

Glad he's on my side!

David is hard working! He is smart, he is compassionate, and he balances a no-nonsense attitude with the patience needed to deal with an emotionally affected, hands-on client like me. I have 9+ years of interactions with family law - meeting David was the first time an attorney didn't patronize me ...and asked me what I needed/wanted in terms of child custody, visitation, and support rather than deciding those things for me. He advised me as to what was reasonable, what I needed to be prepared to compromise on, and I knew from the get-go I was willing to listen to him because I knew he was listening to me.
