David is one of the smartest people I have met. He listened, and was able to apply his knowledge and experience to make me feel comfortable while going through one of the hardest things anyone can go through. He made me feel as that I was a priority for him. He was diligent in preparing all documents..., and building out all information needed to go into court. When it came time for trial he ran the court room. No one likes going to court, and no one feels comfortable going to trial especially when it comes to your children. David made me feel comfortable and protected. He walked into the court room and was more prepared to handle it than anyone else was, including the other attorney. I hired David Schachter to represent me in my divorce action 4 years into my case. I wish I had known to go to him from the start. This divorce case was long and a bit more complicated because I had to work outside of the country. In the 4 years of the case before I hired David my prior attorney acco...mplished nothing. I was afraid that husbands and fathers could never get justice. I was mistaken. You just need the best attorney, and in my opinion that is David. Mr. Schachter knows his stuff. He is an excellent strategist. He is detailed and prepared for every scenario. Watching him in court was impressive to say the least. Everyone, including the Judge, were clear that Mr. Schachter had done a tremendous job. Oh, and as for husbands and fathers and how they fare in a divorce: Mr. Schachter secured me joint physical custody of my daughter, I have no further financial obligation to my ex, I got to keep most of my retirement, and I got the house that had been temporarily awarded to my ex for the first few years of the divorce before David took over. I even get to keep all of the equity that I paid into the house throughout this case and my ex gets none of it, which I understand is quite unusual. I was more than pleased with the result. They say nobody wins in a divorce. Usually that may be true and I do feel bad that my daughter had to experience this, but I am positive I won this case with Mr. Schachter’s superb representation. I hope I never need to hire a family law attorney again, but if I do need one I know that I will hire David.

David and his office did an outstanding job. He offered suggestions of meeting times which fit into my schedule, enabling me to meet with him and not have to take time off from my job, thus minimizing the effects on my civilian job. David Schachter is the best at what he does. I had been divorced for over five years, and out of that marriage I had a son. The mother of my son would keep me away from my son at will, and due to being active duty Military I felt that would not be able change my ability to have a relationship with m...y son.
