Emily's guidance and willingness to listen to what I wanted to accomplish was beyond what I expected. Even though my spouse opted not to seek representation, Emily reached out to him to speed... up his response to my divorce proceedings, while letting him know that she was "my" attorney and could not advocate for him in any way. She was very professional and expedited paperwork so that I could move forward quickly. Within 5 months, all was said and done. She didn't tack on unnecessary time and directed the work to her paralegals and assistants so I wouldn't incure a huge bill. Her staff was professional as well. I can only assume that she leads by example. A lot of attorneys will stretch things out, so to speak. Not the case here at all. She was honest, fair and accommodating when needed. I’m an older retired attorney, and my divorce involved some complicated financial issues, but no custody issues and was not contested, although the opposing attorney was somewhat belligerent and had a tendency to misstate facts. Emily handled all of this in a very calm & competent fashion, but beyon...d that was also understanding and supportive regarding the emotional stress of a divorce. Her billing was reasonable; that is, she did not run up the bill by creating a lot of issues where there were none; as, unfortunately, some attorneys do. I highly recommend her.
