Excellent Service

Our son was charged for domestic violence by his ex-wife while he was on probation in another county in GA for another issue. He was arrested and she filed several charges against him which he was falsely imprisoned. After sitting in detention center for 1 1/2 yrs, he was offered to accept 8yrs inc...arceration with possible parole. At that time we were using another lawyer and I was referred to Mr Jackie Patterson. I immediately called his office and he set up a consultation and accepted my son's case. I remember him saying to me, "I will fight for your son", and he did. Within a month Mr Patterson got my son's charges to be reduced to probation for the domestic violence and he was transferred to the other county to complete his other case. Due to Mr Patterson's excellent knowledge about the criminal system he was able to apply the time served from the other county and help my son get released and complete the last 6 months on probation. What I really love about Mr Patterson is that I respected his dedication, if I called or text him he would immediately respond to me. He listened to us, went above and beyond and did everything he could to ensure a great outcome which he delivered. We would highly recommend Jackie Patterson to any one who is looking for an honest, reliable, professional person who will get the job done Thank you from The Franklin family.

Took the case and did nothing

We hired Mr. Patterson for a criminal case for a hefty $ 10 000 fee. After speaking with Mr. Patterson he stated I quote that he would “fight tooth and nail” for our case, well, this statement could not have been further from what ensued. First, Mr. Patterson missed our first hearing and was very... aggressive when we questioned him about it. After that, his client, my fiance, became very specific about how he wanted his defense to be conducted and, upon feeling that Mr. Patterson was lacking the time to truly work on his case, provided him with many case references to explore and bring up during his court date. Mr. Patterson never listened to his client, was extremely dismissive of our questions, mocked our concerns and even lied about how the court hearing went. On that particular instance, Mr. Patterson came very unprepared and just bowed down to the DA without trying any defense. Following this, his client requested several documents that Mr. Patterson never bothered to send, just as he didn't return phone calls and ultimately decided that we were asking too many questions and that he would not speak to us anymore. With such poor representation and this being our second bad experience with a lawyer in GA, my fiance decided to go to a plea hearing instead of a jury trial. During this plea deal, Mr. Patterson showed either his incompetency or his sheer indifference for the future of his client and “negotiated” a 10 year sentence on a sentence that carried a 1 to 10 year sentence ! In the end, a handful of visits to the jail, one motion for speedy trial and one motion to suppress evidence that never happened, one hearing, one letter with a self-made stamp with Mr. Patterson's photo on it, and a 3 hours negotiation plea that resulted in a 10 years sentence for one non violent charge for a first time offender cost us $ 5000. I have to admit, he at least had the decency to not charge us the remaining balance. We contacted the state Bar Association but there has been no follow-up and we feel it is fair to let potential clients know what may happen to them. Mr. Patterson had come highly recommended but it seems that if your case will not land him TV time, you are out of luck when it comes to your defense. Our lives are deeply affected as a result of our poor representation in this case.

First of all he did not hire me initially he hired another lawyer in a firm that I was associated with. When that lawyer feed him a bunch of lies telling him they could beat the case and when they could not beat the case because it was such a bad case he came to me and I told him the truth that it was a bad case and we lost just like I told him we would. I told him it was best to plead guilty but he did not take my advice and the outcome was exactly as I told him it would be. Guilty. Now he wants to blame me. If the first lawyer he hired had told him the truth about his case he would not be so upset. Please go to Kudzu.com or Jackiepatterson.com to see other reviews. Thanks Jackie Patterson

Very Disappointed!!!

I hired Jackie watterson t represent me on a possession of a firearm by a convicted felon,d.u.i,and a speeding charge.Ipaid Jackie Patterson 7500 dollars ,and did nothing. He promised I wouldn't do any jail time.I went to court in meriweather county 5 times.I had 7 months left on probation that wasn'...t violateduntil after I pleaded guilty on the D.U.I.I had to do the footwork to get the gun charge dropped. Jackie Patterson betrayed me in front of the judge and the D.A and allowed me to be arrestedwitout question about the probation violation in another county and left me and my family in the courthouse and told me that he would never represent me again because I had a bad attitude. The first court appearance he was late, the second court date he never showed up at all saying he was in court somewhere else, the 3rd time he was late again. The last Tim I was forced to lead guilty because Jackie told me that one way or another we would be resolving my case that day.Jackie works more to please the court system more than his client He's greasy and very unprofessional to black clients.Hire Jackie Patterson and you will hate you did.He is just another government official!!!

Unfortunately for this client he could not be saved because the hole he was already in when he hired me was too big for him to crawl out of and i can understand he must blame someone other than himself for the outcome of his case. A lawyer is like a doctor, sometimes a cold cannot be cured with medicine you just have to get through the pain and just let your body self heal.

BEWARE!!!!

I called this attorney 2 days after being released on a charge with a crime I did not commit. This was on a Friday. He told me to meet him on Saturday at his firm to discuss the case. He showed up 35 min late because he was stuck in traffic. When he shows, he has a younger woman with him that he intr...oduces to me as his girlfriend. She is in the room while we discuss the case. He promised he would start working on a temporary protective order i had issued against me to get someone out of my home that wasn't suppose to be there. He told me he would represent me in both that and the aggravated assault charge. For the protective order he promised he would file a motion to move up the court date that Monday if I hired him that day. I cut him a check. Monday comes and I hear nothing from him. Tuesday I call him and he tells me he didn't go because he had other cases and that he would go the following day. He never worked on my case. Every time I contacted him over a two week span there was an excuse. The following excuse being that he had his daughter for spring break. With nothing being done to work my case and with court dates coming up I needed true representation and he wasn't it. I sought legal help somewhere else and hired someone else immediately. I sent a professional letter expressing my thoughts and how I didn't feel he was a fit for me and I fired him. I went to office to pick up the check I had given him and that was with $400 less. When I questioned him he said because he showed up to the office on his off day and had to drive in traffic. I didn't argue because I had bigger fish to fry. He worked on my case 0 hours and basically charged me for a consultation. BEWARE!!!!! Do not waste your time.

Excellent Attorney

Mr. Patterson worked on my brothers case for two years. My brother was charged with very serious charges and Mr. Patterson was knowledgeable, professional, caring and most of all he listened. Hands down Mr. Patterson is the best attorney that I have ever worked with. After two trails I can say that m...y brother is a free man. With Mr. Patterson's knowledge and Gods hand touching my brothers case a miracle was manifested. I recommend Mr. Patterson to everyone. He truly is amazing. All attorneys are not created equally I learned that first hand.
