Excellent attorney

My daughter is in the legal profession, and when I was cited with a traffic offense in which I was guilty of but was concerned about the possible ramifications, her firm recommended Shewmaker & Shewmaker. What a wise recommendation that was. Steve Shewmake took an active interest in the case even tho...ugh he assigned it to Hanna-Lynn Apicelli. As I said,, I knew I was guilty of my offense but they helped minimize the punishment. I was certainly fortunate to have this law firm representing me and I could not recommend them more highly.

Best of the best

Steve Shewmaker is flawless in the courtroom. He had complete control of the case from the beginning of the board. His preparation is incredible. His cross-examination of witnesses was better than Law and Order. He’s definitely on your side and working relentlessly on your behalf for the best outcome... in your case. He will fight for you, even when you think nothing is happening, things are happening behind the scenes. He ensured I was able to continue serving in uniform and keep my promotion. Totally recommend. Down to earth, empathetic and trustworthy.

Executive/Military divorce

If you’re retired military and/or a high income earning professional about to go through a divorce - You need to call Steve and Patty Shewmaker. I was hit with a surprise divorce after 20 years of marriage planned for months with her military and divorce lawyers. I was told to move out and begin p...aying $6,700 month in alimony by my wife’s lawyer. Steve stepped in and began fighting for me day one. It got very nasty, but Steve and Patty were there fighting for me every day. I stayed in my house - she left. Steve is always concerned about cost and offers best option in divorce to both parties. We fought for a year going to a final hearing. Steve is outstanding in court. After one day at final hearing, my ex-wife decided her lawyer was not up to the task of going against Steve in court. She received very small lump sum alimony, none of my military retirement, none of the 401K from my work, none of the company stocks, and only 50% equity in the martial home which I continue to live in. The two children we raised together live with me. If you have a military pension, you need call Steve and Patty to help protect it!

You are a good man with a really big heart. It is obvious how you care for those young men. I am sorry your case intersected with such obvious greed (the other attorney). BUT, you always behaved like the perfect Officer & Gentleman. You never broke the faith. You are on the good path.

Dedicated

I know being a black man, you do not want to step in court with a public defender. I do not recommend anyone should. I am a Marine and called the Va in Atlanta and they recommended Steve and his firm. I firmly believe in Vets. I know how we are. He is a go getter, he never stops fighting for you, and... its like you have a lawyer for life. They instantly make you feel part of the family as well. We went to court and He handled everything, I told him what I would like to happen, and it turned out better than I wanted. He really goes beyond to help you. I would recommend Steve Shewmaker to anyone.

DEFENSE FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL

Hopefully, being accused of a crime is not something most people are comfortable with. It wasn’t for me. It was the first time I was ever accused of a crime and it was gut-wrenching. I hired Steve Shewmaker based on a referral from a co-worker. I had a lot of questions; Steve Shewmaker and Mickey W...illiams were very patient in explaining the legal procedures. They looked out for my rights during each step in the process. They established a weekly synchronization meeting which allowed for a continuous exchange of information. They listened to the facts that I presented and by teaching me, I was able to better support my defense. I would recommend Steve Shewmaker and Mickey Williams for anyone who needs support from pragmatic and knowledgeable lawyers.
