Professional, Thorough and Timely

I was very pleased with how Ms. Bergstrom listened to my legal issue, communicated what would be done and diligently worked to resolve it. After my experience, I would seek her assistance if needed a n the future.

very disappointed in this firm

Hired this firm to do divorce work which i was happy with from there everything went down hill extremely fast no return calls, lack of communication on pending case, just plain turmoil in this office simply a shot in the dark using their services

Mr. Lattal never hired this firm to represent him. He had scheduled an appointment to come in and meet with an attorney, he didn't show up.

Marlys Anne Bergstrom

I hired Marlys to be my divorce attorney. She was amazing throughout this whole process. She was very thorough answering my questions and listening to what I needed. My mediation turned out well and it was exactly what I wanted. We avoided going to court! Thank you so much Marlys and for your wonder...ful law firm team. Jennifer

I can trust her

The most important thing in the world to me is my children's safety and wellbeing. My case would be a sensitive subject for any parent; Bergstrom & Associates realize that and are just as dedicated to protecting my child. I was worried that I wouldn't find the right representation. I have too ma...ny things going on to be stuck with a jerk for an attorney. Many of the lawyers I had spoken with while searching for representation seem so rude, or gave me the impression that I would simply be just another case for them. After speaking with Marlys I knew that wouldn't be so, and it hasn't been. She's not out just to make a buck, she gets very involved in what's best for her client. Marlys and all members of her firm display the highest level of professionalism and compassion. I view lawyer's differently now. Do to the nature of my case custody, child support, and visitation, plus underlining issues, my emotions would get to me. There were times when I've cried in Marlys presence ,over the phone, or via email and was always met with a hug, and a calming reassuring conversation. Even during conferences when she would see the emotions coming to the surface she would simply touch my hand. A way of saying "don't cry it's okay". I'm not even a crier, but I'm super sensitive when it comes to my children. As all parents should be. I have to be strong for my children and can't break down in front of them, and I don't. Marlys understands that and is strong for me during our conversations. This is the first time that I have ever dealt with the law/court system outside of a speeding ticket and I'm at ease knowing my team(Bergstrom & Associates) are on top of everything. She's knowledgeable and direct. I've told her what was going on,she knows what I want, and what I'm willing to give. There was a time I had to leave negotiations and Marlys was entrusted to makes decisions on my behalf. Negotiations went as we discussed and ended on a good note ,thanks to Marlys. I can't express my appreciation enough for all she has done for me and my family. I thank the lord that Marlys is fighting for me. I would definitely hire Bergstrom & Associates in future legal matters.

Incompetent

Marlys has less than a year experience in family law. I thought she will make up for experience with hard work. She didn't. She failed to do the most basic steps, such as send me the discovery request on time, or complete the affidavit. She responded to formal letters from the other lawer with email...s. The cost of these mistakes was extremely harsh temporary order. I had to fire her after a month. She sent me a bill for $2,538 the same day!

Sorry to learn you were so disappointed. Just to be clear, we did send all the discovery to your attorney and made copies for you to deliver to her. Email responses were prepared in response to emails, not formal letters. It is my opinion, that your decision to represent yourself was what led to the harsh result. After you decided to terminate our relationship, I did have you finalize and pay your bill of $1,038.50, a charge you have formally disputed with the credit card company. We had worked and prepared for the hearing we were scheduled to attend; the day before you "fired" us.
