Even though he had a heavy workload, Lawrence took on a weak contempt case against my ex wife. This was a "Hail Mary Pass" to get more visitation of my 7 year old daughter. Almost a year ago, I was charged with a felony (possession of illicit drugs) and my case was dismissed at the bond hearing. A year and a half later, when I was having a background check done for employment, I learned that the case had been reopened and that I had missed a court date (without my know...ledge) and therefore was convicted of this crime. The biggest issue I had with the entire situation was that I was never in possession of any illegal substance, no evidence was ever brought forth, and the police department pulled me over for no apparent reason and searched my car without my permission. Since this case had re-appeared without my knowledge, and because I was trying to get my name cleared so that I could take the Series 7, in order to obtain my general securities license, I needed this case taken care of as quickly as possible. With Lawrence's help, this case was dropped in a matter of a month and a half (and would have been even sooner if the court would've allowed us to have the case heard sooner) and I was allowed to continue on my career path unobstructed. Not only was he able to get the case dropped, and my good name cleared, but the charge will also be expunged from my record forever, meaning I will not ever have to explain this ridiculous situation ever again. During this whole process, Lawrence was readily available to take any calls and answer any questions that I had during this turbulant time. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck, as my career was literally hanging by a thread, but Lawrence continually assured me that he would handle the case and that I shouldn't worry as he had multiple avenues in which to pursue this charge, and that he would get it thrown out. His confidence was unwavering, which was some relief, and I wanted to believe him, but in a situation that was this huge in scope, it was hard. Turns out, he was right, and I should have just relaxed and allowed him to work the system. I could not be any happier with the outcome of this situation, and I'm thankful that Lawrence was able to deliver on everything he said he would, and that he was able to do it in such an expediate manner. With everything behind me, I'm able to go back to my life without the worry of this felony ever rearing its ugly head again. The fact that the case was dropped and expunged is a testament to Lawrence's abilities as a legal councilor. I highly recommend his practice to all that are looking for a positive, expediant, outcome.
