I was in serious need of a probation modification, and with a baby on the way time was short. Out of all attorneys I reached out to, Lawrence was the only one to respond in a timely manner. He set a price for me, but by the time I came up with the money he informed me that his rates had gone up. But ...he was willing to stand by his promise of the original price he set, and this was a tremendous blessing to me as I am a newlywed young man with a child on the way. He was quick to do the legwork and make the contacts necessary. Very little effort was required on my part, which also was a blessing considering my hectic schedule. He kept in touch via email, text, and phone call. With multiple avenues for contact, it made staying up to date very easy. I may be an expert in my own field of work but I am completely ignorant in legal proceedings. We hired Lawrence to help us fight a serious false allegation. Someone seeking retribution claimed I sexually assaulted someone. My life was turned upside down. Lawrence and his team were the calm in the midst of chaos. He worked hard, stayed in constant contact, and ultimately won our case! He knows... the law backwards and forwards. Nothing got by him. I havent reatined Mr Zimmerman as of yet I've only conversated with him by phone this morning. This has been a horrific ordeal for me( absolutely scary ) I was given his name by someone at University of Florida. From just speaking with Mr. Zimmerman I felt comfortable. I've wasted alot of money on th...is situation simply because an ex was mad and decided to try and ruin my whole life and career. I'vewasted money and hired Attys who did absolutely nothing and would never return phone calls. This whole ordeal has made me sick to where I cant sleep at night I've gained weight 65 lbs to be exact. I truly cant afford Mr. Zimmerman right now as I have wasted so much money on an attorney that has done absolutely nothing toward this case. I cant get my money back from the other attorney but I'm certainly going to do my very best to retain Mr. Zimmerman. Although I havent retained him yet I decided to write this review based on the conversation I had with him this morning. I didnt feel rushed to explain my situation . Lawrence cared enough about me to make sure mine wasn't ruined. Lawrence agreed to a retainer and took it, and as the prosecution acted like monkeys trying to screw a football adding and subtracting charges and making threats and promises, Lawrence held his cards close to his chest, and he had me wai...t them out with them. In the end, was it the just or right outcome ? I don't feel it was, but you know who determined that outcome: the government and myself. Lawrence will go all the way for you, other attorneys want play graba$$ with each other. Lawrence maintains professional relationships, is well connected but he keeps one thing #1- the client, the client, the client. A valuable piece of property was kept as evidence, my dad rode my behind in order to get it, and wanted me to go after it like a bulldog after a bone. Several years after all was said and done, Lawrence did the leg work and he got that piece of property for me. In the entire time I had any interaction with the government(LE, perse... excuse me: prosecution, investigators) I had one pleasant interaction: When they breathed a sigh of relief Lawrence wasn't going to bring down a roof over their head because they hadn't followed their own procedure and destroyed that piece of property. I got it back. It was something my dad gave me, it is now worth 2x to 3x what it first cost, and is worth more as that was back when my dad could still had respect for me as a human being. All through everything Lawrence would shake his head and ask me how I got into the mess, but he wasn't doing it judgmentally, he just hated how the government was treating me and thinking of a strategy to best defend me. LJZ was there for me. I am a terrible person to get along with but LZ put up with me, saw me as a human being and not a thug, and tried to do his best to check for my wellbeing and my future. That is what attorneys used to do. A lawyer files briefs and argues. An attorney is your trainer, cut-man, and advisor in a brutal fight, he cares about the win but also the fighter. Make no mistake, LZ can take apart a prosecutor in the courtroom, but figuratively speaking he isn't afraid to get down in the parking lot if it comes to it. That includes anyone on opposing counsel.
