I hired Mr. Kopkas firm to represent my son when he got in trouble while enlisted.I had no previous knowledge how the marines judicial system worked and put all my trust in this firm to help save my sons career with the military.They did not .I have never written a review and fell compelled to let ot...her people know how I feel about their performance on this case.I was not informed on any progress at any time and when I called their office had a hard time getting any info or even a courtesy call back.I honestly feel they wanted to get paid and did not put any effort into my sons case.I wish I hired another attorney maybe we would have had a better outcome .I am sorry I had to leave this review and I thought long and hard about doing so,

I was a Cpl in the USMC, I was finishing my first term, and reenlisting but while I was deployed at the time, I got shipped back home because before I left the unit took a urinalysis after the 4th of July 96. Everyone know there will be a urinalysis and I didn't have to worrie about anything because ...ive never done drugs in my life. But I popped on the urinalysis for codine(Pain Killers) for 200 nanograms over. Which could have been anything like the SACO not following protocol, or eating something that could mess with the test. But my CO didn't care he tried burning me for everything i had, I knew I didn't do anything, i called multiple lawyers and no one made me feel as comfortable at Eric Kopka, he did a amazing job, we had weekly meetings and if I ever had a question he was always a phone call away. He helped me prove myself innocent when I was trying to be proven guilty in a court marshall, and I thank him and his team for saving my future over something I never did. Mr. Kopka looks out for the little people that need the help, and for that in my opinion he is the best lawyer you could ask for.

My legal troubles began in the summer of 2015. It was once I realized the severity of the situation that I began to seek council from an attorney. My life, and the lives of my family was on the line and Eric Kopka was ABSOLUTLELY the man that I wanted representing me that day. If I ever need any legal advice or assistance in the future, Eric will be my first call.

Eric is a true professional who leads with his ears first and then gives you raw feedback on the situation and it's probable outcomes. You need that. What you don't need is someone who is going to butter everything up for you and I appreciated that. He is extremely well versed in the UCMJ as he ...is a USMCR Major and has served both in both garrison and deployed units. He also provides training to multiple military JAG officers which I have seen first hand multitudes of these officers flock to him as he walks into a JAG office because they are seeking his advice (both defense and prosecution). Pretty impressive individual. Eric's ability to formulate your thoughts into a rational, intellectual and articulate deliverance is quite possibly the most amazing demonstration of oration that I have ever witnessed. I was always told how good of a lawyer he is but until I hired him for my case and watched him in action, that's when I knew for sure. My career is still alive and well because of this man.

Mr. Kopka should be the first call you make if you are in the military and require legal assistance. His knowledge of military law is unparalleled. Mr. Kopka and his staff assisted me through the most stressful time of my life when I was falsely accused of sexual assault. He immediately explained ...the process and stuck with me through a year of hell. The bottom line is that he saved my career not only for myself but my family as well.
