Eric is a true professional who leads with his ears first and then gives you raw feedback on the situation and it's probable outcomes. You need that. What you don't need is someone who is going to butter everything up for you and I appreciated that. He is extremely well versed in the UCMJ as he ...is a USMCR Major and has served both in both garrison and deployed units. He also provides training to multiple military JAG officers which I have seen first hand multitudes of these officers flock to him as he walks into a JAG office because they are seeking his advice (both defense and prosecution). Pretty impressive individual. Eric's ability to formulate your thoughts into a rational, intellectual and articulate deliverance is quite possibly the most amazing demonstration of oration that I have ever witnessed. I was always told how good of a lawyer he is but until I hired him for my case and watched him in action, that's when I knew for sure. My career is still alive and well because of this man.

Mr. Kopka should be the first call you make if you are in the military and require legal assistance. His knowledge of military law is unparalleled. Mr. Kopka and his staff assisted me through the most stressful time of my life when I was falsely accused of sexual assault. Mr Kopka was outstanding from start to finish. I was involved in a disgusting divorce. My now X wife made some unbelievable allegations to NCIS and every other agency who would listen. These allegations resulted in my being placed on Legal Hold among a number of other bonus repercussions. His out...standing attention to detail and unmatched understanding of Military Law kept everyone honest who was doing the investigation. Inevitably resulting in my being exonerated of all her false allegations. Had it not been for his help my career would have been over and I would have EAS after 16+ yrs of service. I would highly recommend to anyone who knows they are innocent. Do not try to BS this man he is the very definition of a professional.

His knowledge, determination, and drive, backed by his dedicated team of hand selected, highly intelligent individuals helped to put me at ease. Truly following through on what he says he will do for you, and providing guidance and direction to you, with a No-Nonsense attitude. Developed a trust that allowed me to live my life. He knew down to the minute what was going to take place, and when. He did not provide empty promises, he ferociously attacked the Prosecution and had tertiary plans to his back up. Anything that they had up their sleeves were snuffed out before being brought to light. His abilities far out performed my expectations, and If I were to have remained on Active duty and needed to seek counsel or retain an attorney for any reason, Eric is the man for the job, no questions asked. I highly recommend him for any questions pertaining to counsel, and you're an absolute fool for having anyone else represent you. He completely controls the room, and it is nearly comical to sit back and watch everything unfold to the "T" as he described it would. Many may say they are the best at what they do, the thing is with Eric he is humble and has ability to assess the severity of your charges, prepare you for the worst, promise he will do all he can for you, and follow through. Do not waste your time with nickle and dime Lawyers, or entrust your life/career with someone who is "assigned" by the same individuals who are placing you in confinement. Do yourself a favor, Retain Eric Kopka and his trustworthy team IMMEDIATELY. It was by far the correct, and best choice I have made. "Thank you" does not feel as though it is enough. If I had to relive everything again, I would have full confidence in Kopka and his team. I highly recommend him.
