So far so good

After losing my employment June of 2015, my anxiety and depression took over my life, ending up having a heart attack requiring 3 stints to correct in august 2015, and potentially facing having yet another stint added as of today, April 2 2016, still unable to return to work as I'm a building and rem...odeling contractor and licensed plumber, yet according to doctor am unable to perform physically stressful/demanding employment again, seemingly ever, and who hires a plumber to hang out in a office or a building/remodeling contractor to be a desk jockey? No means of transitioning from well paid blue collar to avg paid white collar, due to skill set, can't do blue collar because of heart, and anxiety, deression are reaking havoc when I'm looking at piles of bills I can't pay, and my children I'm having to depend on extended family to assist in providing for....The Ricci group picked up my case before I was ever home from hospital, when I got home, I had a package of documents to review and sign, of my completed disability claim already to go pending my signature and sending back to Ricci group....at first skeptical, so much so I had a friend who is local atty reveiw documents just to verify wasn't a scam of some kind, finally signed and returned, and since I have been borderline free of concern in that area at least, because they are taking care of what they agreed to take care of, granted, like anyone it would be nice to touch base more frequently, but in a disability claim, WHAT FOR??? Unless there is new info, or developements, aside from rehashing same ol same, until decisions made by dds, both ricci group and myself can only wait....currently awaiting request for reconsideration decision, to then move on with ALJ appeal (request for reconsideration appeals are denied at higher rate than initial claims)...I'm sure at that time The Ricci Group will be much more on point (seemingly) because there's actually something for them to do vs await dds decision.....so till the end, so far, AWESOME, AND THANKS!!

At the end of my rope

I filed back in April, have had to make most of the contact with them myself. They have lost vital paperwork, had to resend. They told me several times they would contact me and I had to end up contacting them. All of my bills are overdue, my elec. Is about to be shut off, and fixing to be homeless. I...m getting the feeling that they don't work for you as much as advertised. Im suffering depression and anxiety on top of my physical problems. Can't seem to get help from anyine.

Thank you for your feedback. All clients are advised that on average they will not receive a decision on their initial application for 4-6 months due to the backlog at the Social Security Administration. Unfortunately, we have no control over their workload. If your claim was filed in April you will not on average have received a decision by now. If you would like to discuss your claim further, you may contact me at the office, 1-800-387-6406 or by email at bmricci@riccilawnc.com Brian Ricci

Dropped the Ball with my Disability Case

Very disappointed because my case was thrown out because my asigned attorney didn't produce the proper paperwork that the judge asked for from my doctor. The judge even gave her an extension to get the document from my doctor I even suggested to get the document myself but she said it wouldn't be va...lid if I get it. My case was denied because of failure to retrieve proper documents needed.

terrible customer service

when they need a signature from you there will be a courier at your door within 72 hours. But when you need information from them, good luck getting a call back. they are terrible. I've been re-assigned to four different staff members, and they never had my diagnosis correctly recorded the whole time.... they did not give me any legal advice at all. they did not ever make me feel like they had my best interests at hand, and they didn't keep up with my medical updates. they failed to follow up with social security, they passed on the duty of calling them to me, instead of handling it. they were charging a fee to handle it, but i found myself doing their job. its been almost two years for my family, and i have still not received any relief. I've lost my home, declared a bankruptcy, I've been homeless, and i have been blindly relying on Ricci to do right by me. the injuries i sustained in my accident have changed my life forever. I would not recommend using this disability group, ever. when my benefits were suspended they did nothing to fix it,even though it was a clear mistake.

No Help At All

Everything was fine until the decision from the judge, Brian Ricci asked me to appeal my case because the Judge made serious errors in judgement regarding my case. When I went to trial Brian Ricci did not have all the doctors' documentation because they failed to get my mental documentation from my... psychiatrist. I actually had to go in myself to get that documentation and send it to Brian Ricci. He then referred me to another lawyer group to handle my appeal. They denied me. Brian Ricci said to me and my wife that if no one would take the case he personally would pursue it. That never happened. Now I am looking for representation for my appeal by myself. I am disappointed. They totally dropped the ball.
