James McMinn is the most dedicated, diligent, and most importantly, thoroughly involved attorney in your need of defense, I have ever had the privilege to meet (and believe me I have had the misfortune of being defended by much less apt lawyers in my past). This is a great lawyer and ,above that, a g...ood man who is attentive to your interests in every way. He investigated my case himself and kept me in the loop at every turn and won my case with flying colors. This is the attorney you want on your side PERIOD!

Let me preface this review by saying that I have been involved in the insurance profession for over 20 years and have dealt with literally hundreds of attorneys in 5 states, I have never dealt with a more honest or hard working attorney than Mr. McMinn. I recently had a need for an attorney r...esulting from an incident that a vehicle that I own was involved in a hit & run accident, I hired McMinn based on his excellent reputation in the Winston-Salem court system, which is where my case was being heard. I won't go into the full details but I charged for not providing the details of the accident that I wasn't even involved (other than owning the vehicle) and was treated unfairly by the officer and needed an experienced attorney that really understood the law and could provide sound counsel. Mr.McMinn exceeded my expectations! He gave me his personal cell phone and answered every call / text over the course of the 6 months that it took my case to be resolved. He advised me of all the possible scenarios and was never condescending or made me feel dumb when asking questions. He fought for nearly 6 months to get my case dismissed which was the right thing, vs pleading. This took significantly more time/effort on his part but he was adamant that was what should be done. I can honestly say that Mr. McMinn is the best attorney in Winston-Salem for me and if you need an attorney that is going to really fight for you and your best interest, I think he is the best attorney in Winston-Salem for you too! He was concerned about doing the right thing vs just how much money he would make on my case. That was refreshing to me and is why I felt the need to write this review. I wish all attorneys treated their clients like James McMinn treated me. 5 stars++

Just like it is important to feel comfortable with important life decisions, I believe it is also top priority to know that your lawyer is going to make the best out of a bad situation. James stands up very well in the courtroom. Being a local to Winston Salem and also a college student, I knew that ...he had the experience I would appreciate after having gotten into the trouble I deeply fell into twice. There was never a moment I doubted him. I first heard of him through other's references, but then I simply watched as he succeeded to make people happy through the professionalism of his work. It was a struggle for me to live the life I wanted to live after making the mistakes I did. He talked me through it all in a very personable manner. People tell me how lucky they think I was for not only one case but a second case going the way it went for me, but the thing is that I do not believe in luck. Instead, I had the best lawyer I knew and listened to him as he listened to me. Before I choose him as the man for the job, I felt terrible and I cannot begin to deceive how small I felt. I believe that there is nothing worse than feeling hopeless and I did not feel that at all by James' side.

Mr. Mc Minn was exactly who I researched before hiring him. The best of the best outcome was recieved. Being charged with felonies, but ended up with minor misdemeanors. In court he was very professional and cool at the same time. He was very informative and confident in this case. I was a bit nervo...us. After speaking with Mr. McMinn I felt alot better. On top of that, the case went smoother than expected. Mr. McMinn also had alternate solutions for the case. I highly recommend Mr. McMinn to clients in need of his services. He superseeded my expectations and was very detailed of the outcome.
