I was blessed with this attorney’s name when I was in court asking for a continuance for 12 charges –all misdemeanors however all carried jail time and/or current & future employment consequences. Although James advised that he planned to get the charges dropped; my faith only allowed me to hope for... a consolidation of all of them to maybe only one charge. James spoke to me decisively and professionally from my first communication as well as represented me in my absence on one court date. On subsequent court dates; James keep me informed of expectations including options, timings and his legal opinion as well a calling me to confirm my attendance and plans on the eve of the final court date. During trial, James encountered duel opposition from the prosecutor as well as the witness. When I say that James literally “threw the book” at the Judge, he did just that— citing from a law that has been on the books since the 1800 as well as presenting the legal manual from where he did his research.
