The ticket cited me for during 83 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. I said to the police, I thought you was going to give me a break. He replied, "Ma'am you were doing 83 in a 55 zone"! I smiled and said thank you, have a good evening. My reply startled him, but he replied, "you do the same. And remember the speed is 55 MPH all the way to the Maryland line. I said, "yes Sir, thank you"! About after I got this ticket, I started receiving advertisements about Virginia traffic laws and penalties. At first, I just trashed them, because I was going to just show up for my court date and tell the judge my story. I figure I would just pay the fine and that would be it. But I kept getting these advertisements from lawyers. It that started to worry me. So, I decided search the internet to find out about Virginia traffic laws.
