I Highly Recommend Marina Medvin. Charges Dropped.

I was facing a petit larceny charge in Fairfax County and thoroughly researched all the best lawyers.  I then met with and/or spoke with at least six attorneys.  Retaining Marina Medvin was a no-brainer.  From our first phone conversation, I knew she was very different from all the rest.  She immedia...tely understood the case and had a direction that set me at ease.  She made an otherwise difficult process almost painless for me.  She dedicates 100% of her time and energy to your case on your court date and makes you feel like there is no other case she is working on but yours.  She’s present, always responsive, and proactive.  With Ms. Medvin you get superior lawyering, a cool and collected demeanor, laser focus, and an impressively capable presence.  She’s compassionate and makes you feel resilient during a time you would otherwise feel very vulnerable.  Ms. Medvin is a highly skilled attorney with just a little touch of “magic” that sets her apart from the rest.  Wether it is her keen sense of the law and legal arguments or her amazing people skills, she has something special that sets her apart in a sea of super lawyers.  With very little time to prepare, she negotiated with the prosecutor and my charges were dropped.  She's the best. The same qualities she has that make you feel lucky to have her as a lawyer, translates (very respectably) to the prosecutor and judge.  It’s confidence without arrogance.  Kindness without weakness.  She is very smart and clear, yet non-judgmental.  I would hope that I never “need” her services again, but she is the type of person you would want to do any kind of business with.  I think her pricing is beyond fair given what she brings to the table.  She’s a total class act.  She manages to be assertive and razor sharp without coming off as over the top, pushy or abrasive.  These qualities go far when negotiating with a prosecutor or appearing in front of a judge.  She’s passionate and works harder than any of the other people that are going to be involved, and everyone knows it.  Still, she’s not JUST a smart and hard working attorney, she has something extra that I have not seen another attorney bring to the table.  A type of compassion and sincerity that makes you feel like she has a personal stake in your well-being.  She fights hard for you as if you were a family member, without compromising any sense of professionalism.  There is absolutely no one else I would ever recommend (and I have met with and know a lot of top notch, terrific lawyers).  There is a reason she is so highly rated and she is so successful.  If you need an attorney for ANY reason, you want to try and get Marina Medvin on your side.  It will be the best decision you make in how you handle your case.  You won’t be sorry.

Marina is a talented and thorough attorney

Marina represented me in Fairfax recently. She landed clarity and confidence to a difficult case. Her background research and case analysis were second to none. She used focused and structured arguments that inspired the judge to see the case in the correct light. The "Not Guilty" verdict she was... able to obtain restored my belief in my own actions and the legal system as a whole. She is bright, talented, tenacious and stands behind what she believes in. Thank you Marina!!

Recommended for representation in Northern VA

I recommend Ms. Medvin for representation in Northern Virginia without any reservations. She represented me in a DUI case, and she went above and beyond throughout the entire process. She made sure that I clearly understood each step of the process, and was willing to answer all questions I had along... the way. She is extremely accessible and responsive, and her response time to emails, calls and texts throughout the process was nothing less than prompt. Although the courts in Northern Virginia are quite conservative in these cases, she did everything to make sure that I received fairness and justice in my case. She followed up after the initial ruling was made and didn't leave anything unfinished. She has a great working relationship with the judges and commonwealth attorneys/prosecutors, and has enough experience with them as well as the police officers to give you the best representation. She is personable and very nice, she takes her time, and is thoughtful in how she interacts with and how she represents her clients. Equally important she was very realistic throughout the whole process and never promised me anything she couldn't deliver on. Overall my experience with Ms. Medvin was the more than I could have asked for, she exceeded all expectations.

Medvin: Case Dropped for a Nasty Ticket, Passing School Bus, Jail-able Offense

Passing a School Bus can be very bad in VA, as there are apparently two versions of it in terms of whether a just a payable ticket or a jail-able offense akin to Reckless Driving. I of course received the steeper version of the violation by the polite but uncertain policeman. I could get up to a yea...r in Jail and/or a steep fine past $1000, I was told by the court. Even though I knew I did not violate this, I was just going to pay the fine since I could not easily be present for the trial. The court would not allow my handling this remotely, where they stated I had to appear even though I live in another state since this is such a bad offense. Attending potentially 3 court appearances would obviously be difficult for me. I did get to VA for the arraignment, but needed a lawyer I could trust to attend the subsequent hearing(s) and trial on my behalf and use skills to argue that I didn't pass that school bus or endanger any kids. Medvin excelled in getting the case dropped during the first hearing. Very impressive. I hereby recommend Marina Medvin's legal services.

Reckless Driving Reduced to Speeding

After being charged with reckless driving for the 3rd time, I hired Marina Medvin to represent me. She was very knowledgable about my situation and advised me on what to do, such as obtaining my driving history and taking an online driving course. Also, I never had to go to court...she handled that... so that I didn't have to miss work. We used email to correspond and she was quick to respond to my questions. I would recommend her.
