Throughout the entire ordeal I maintained meticulous financial records, tracking every loss and expense. Although I tabulated our losses at upwards of $25k, I never expected to get anywhere near that, mostly because that number was reached assuming everything we lost was brand new, which obviously wasn’t the case. I figured they’d probably offer us half that in the end, and that would be fine. When we got a settlement offer in November, it was for just over $26k. I know for certain that Steve was integral to the successful outcome we achieved. Emotions were running so high for us at the time that it was impossible to keep a level head and deal the many roadblocks as they came.
