Our case involved family law, custody and visitation. There were some aspects of our case that were unusual compared to most child custody cases. Our first lawyer, who was recommended by a friend of ours listened to my wife and I, but did not hear all that we said or was not familiar with laws perta...ining to our case. This lawyer interpreted our story in a legal framework that was familiar to them, but not applicable to us as it turned out. After 3 disappointing court appearances, another counselor in the case, a GLA, confirmed our fears that our attorney may not be presenting our case in a way that best represented our situation.
