Mr. Maher came to our rescue when our family found ourselves encountering the court system for the very first time when our son was charged with three serious crimes related to a traffic misunderstanding in a Maryland parking lot. The charges involved potential jail time and major fines. Mr. Mayer p...atiently explained the laws and the process, and conducted thorough research. From the very beginning, he expressed compassion (a real contrast with other attorneys we interviewed) and make clear throughout that he was a firm advocate for our son’s interests. In the end, prosecutors agreed that the police had filed egregious charges and presented a joint proposal to the judge for a very minor fine related to our son’s status as a permit holder (not yet a licensed driver).
