Mr. Eldridge defended my case before the state of Maryland District Court in one of the most critical, stressful and demanding times of our lives! At age 58, husband of 36 yrs,, father and grandfather, working a second job to try to save money for an upcoming surgery for my wife, and trying to beg...in to save toward retirement, I was blind-sided by a potentially life-changing event on I-95.
I was pulled over for speeding in Baltimore County. I had in my duffel bag, a small handgun, that I was carrying according to and in compliance with,Florida law where we live. I did not know the laws of Maryland , and , in my naitivity, never dreamed driving through on I-95, that it would be an issue. After being confronted, I admitted that I was guilty of violating Md law. Even though, I had never been arrested in my life, and had a clean record other than a couple of speeding tickets over 30 years, I was arrested, spent the night in the Baltimore county jail, and had to post bail to get out and go home to Florida!
It was traumatic for me, but the impact on my family , both emotionally and financially, was tremendous.
I was charged with 2 counts of illegally transporting a gun and was facing potentially, 2 years in jail and 10,000 in fines!
I faced financial ruin (along with the lost time and wages), potentially having to sell my house, etc., as my wife is not able to work outside the home.
In came Eldridge and Nachtman! They were recommended to me through the NRA. From the start, after hearing my story, Jeremy put us on his shoulders and carried us through the entire process.
