At the end of Summer 2019 I went to Lerch, Early & Brewer to meet with Erin Kopelman for the first time. I wanted a divorce from my marriage of 36 years. I had been separated for 9 years but my ex still controlled all the finances. He and his girlfriend bought a farm in Montgomery County, Md. Anyone that lives in Montgomery County knows that one thousand a month isn’t going to pay the bills. We owned rental properties that had current tenants, we also had retirement accounts and his life insurance that he stopped paying on.
