Excellence

I hired Carlos Lastra for a Appeal of a Protective Order. Spoke to some of the best lawyers in Montgomery County, Md that practice Domestic law. I'd gotten a half dozen or so referrals from various people in the legal field, Carlos Lastras name was one that kept coming up. I called and set appoint...ment wondering if I would be dealing with another high priced attorney that's either too busy to get facts straight or would want to defer me to their jr. associate. After meeting with Mr. Lastra, I knew I had found the best lawyer for my case, he was very informative and practical. He gave me straight forward answers to my questions and addressed all my concerns with out trying too browbeat me with legal jargon. As it was getting closer to my trail, I felt more assured and confident in my choice of retaining Mr. Lastra. I was kept in the loop through out, always answered my emails in a timely fashion and his team was always very courteous and helpful, but I was most impressed with Mr Lastras court performance, second to none. Was well prepared took complete control of the court room with the utmost of professionalism, the odds were against us, cause I had lost in the lower court but with determination and skill we were VICTORIOUS... needless to say I was extremely pleased. I had experienced a GREAT burden in those three months leading up to my day court and because of Mr. Lastras expertise i have been completely vindicated. immensely grateful. So in conclusion if your seeking sound professional legal representation Carlos Lastra and his staff hands down are the best.

Great Lawyer!

Mr Lastra is a great lawyer to work with. He is professional, knowledgeable, and well-versed but more than that he was able to really listen to my concerns and try to accommodate. Mr. Lastra represented me in a case to invalidate an unjust Shariah law arbitration award. Mr Lastra was involved in ever...y step of the way and would always educate me on the different options available and their pros and cons. His workmanship really came through as he handled the intersectionality of my complicated case. He was able to present to the judge how the award was both legally faulty and even faulty by Shariah law standards. Although the outcome was not the ideal one - considering how difficult it is to invalidate an arbitration award - his ability to invalidate it on the important issue was commendable. I would recommend Mr. Lastra to others seeking legal help with issues pertaining to family law (divorce, custody, arbitration, etc) and issues with the application of Shariah law.

Too many individuals agree to arbitrate without really understanding the significant rights they are giving away and how much power the arbitrator will have ultimately. Trying to invalidate an unjust and unfair arbitration is not easy. So glad we were able to do so here.

Trusted Family Law Attorney

I hired Mr Lastra for a divorce which involved a prenuptial agreement. This agreement was vital for the outcome of my divorce and the other side was trying to have it set aside. Mr Lastra expertly proved to the judge why this was a valid agreement and should be upheld. The judge agreed with all of... his points and upheld the agreement. I believe under the circumstances he made the process as smooth as possible. He was always thoughtful and professional in our dealings. I would highly recommend Mr Lastra for any family law matters.

Carlos Lastra is the very top of the line attorney. He is completely thorough and time sensitive with his approach. He provides concise and applicable knowledge that is specific to the expertise of Maryland Family Law. When I hired Carlos, I was more than satisfied with my services. I had a delicate ...situation in which I wanted to approach the litigation table in an unorthodox way and Carlos quickly exercised a solution and an execution that was not only discreet and flexible but put my well-being above the traditional fashion to do business/represent a client.
