Knowledgeable, Approachable, and Good Sense of Humor

Carlos helped me a great deal as I was going through a divorce at later stage in my life. Being so knowledgeable about divorce law in Maryland helped me understand my legal rights and what my options were to either mediate, settle, or go to court. The best thing about Carlos was his emphasis on pre...paration from day one, especially my financials. We continuously strategized about different options which helped me a great deal since simultaneously I was going through mediation with my former wife. I was not very hopeful that mediation would happen so I always kept Carlos as my backup option. To my surprise, I was able to mediate in large part to the fact that Carlos gave me a sense of confidence and knowledge that allowed me to take some strong positions during the mediation process. I highly recommend Carlos not only because he is a great lawyer but because he is very approachable and has a good sense of humor, something that you need as you are going through a life crisis. If it had not been for him, I seriously doubt that I would have been able to develop strong arguments to agree on a mediation in my best interests.

Carlos Lastra delivered the goods

I hired Mr. Lastra to represent me and petition for attorney's fees for a previous family matter I had prevailed in. He did a superb job. I was very impressed with his strategy, knowledge of the law, responsiveness and court room presentation. Exceptional lawyer

After my divorce M. Extremely Satisfied Client

Carlos Lastra is a member of Paley Rothman’s Family Law and Litigation practice group. He represented me throughout my divorce and child custody arrangements. I had never had to go through this before, and a situation such as this can be very emotional at times. I was very nervous, but Carlos was abl...e to reassure me that everything would be OK and put my mind at ease, which is not easy to do if you knew my personality. He has always been straightforward, honest, presented me with every option possibly available, has been very creative in his legal strategy by thinking outside the box as opposed to taking a cookie cutter approach as most lawyers do, and has always provided me with confidence that I was in good hands and everything would work out. A Great support and systematic divorce lawyer in the Washington Area
