Berman and his office were stellar litigators. I was charged with drunk driving and driving under the influence of cannabis. Berman was able to get me cleared of both charges. Prior to my trial he advised me on a number of mitigation activities in the event of a bad outcome including PAAD, MADD, a...nd a weekend at Right Turn Impact. After he received the discovery, he plainly told me that we will not plea guilty and why he feels the State had a weak case. The entire process was very comforting. He is a very knowledgeable lawyer from a technical standpoint and was able to find a variety of mistakes the state made to bring this outcome. He had several plans that he shared with me, including a number of contingency plans. He was able to bar the Drug Recognition Officer from testifying via issues with discovery. When questioning the officer, he was able to find a number of inconsistencies in the police report, and was not shy to object to subjective testimony. Very talented lawyer. Back in Feb 2021, I was charged with a DUI. After consulting a few firms I choose Alpert Schreyer & Poe.
