Without reservations do I recommend Steven Kellis. I was facing the real possibility of 60- 90 days jail time and an extended period without a drivers license due to two DUI charges within three weeks. He was successful in getting one of the cases dropped and the other reduced to the mandatory minimum of three months probation-no jail or loss of license. In February of 2009, I was arrested in Philadelphia and charged with DUI. Unfortunately, it was not the first time this had happened. I hired this lawyer because he was supposed to be really good for DUI cases. But when he came to my first hearing he showed up late and I talked to the judge and cop before my lawyer got there. The judge himself was kind enough to tell me about the process going forward and the cop said if I got ARD ...the speeding tickets and other tickts would get dropped. When my lawyer shows up he goes in a room with the cop and then comes back out and says "good news--I got all your tickets dropped from the case so its just a dui and I can get you into ARD no problem." I didnt say anything because we still had more court to go....then we get up to the bigger court couple months later and he sends someone else! What a joke. I shelled out major dough for this guy and he talked and talked to me in his office but when it came down to it for the case he pushed the case to someone else to handle. I wanted a refund but since I got ARD I just figured let it go and don't hire this guy again but people need to know he's all show with his fancy car and when it comes down to the case he didn't really do much for me. I found out later that I couldve gotten ARD without him in my case. Not saying all cases are like that and maybe some people can't get ARD so easy if there are problems with the case but I had a lower alcohol level and totally cooperated with cops and no record.
