I called Jeffrey S. Lichtman for help for a friend of the family who was denied SSI and needed advice appealing the decision. Jeffrey was rude and dismissive and told me it wasn't worth the brain cells it would burn for him to think about the case. It's one thing to choose not to take on a client, ...but quite another to speak to a prospective client, much less a human being in need, in such a brusk, uncompassionate manner. It was a shock, particularly coming from someone who deals with disabled people. I can't speak to his expertise or competence, but he's certainly not a nice person.
