After consulting with several criminal lawyers downtown, I called Thomas Will. I was looking for a lawyer who specialized in lifting detainers. My son was on probation and arrested on 1/6/19 on a warrant regarding new criminal charges and held on a detainer for technical violations as well. The first... preliminary hearing was held January 14th and the filing party did not show; therefore, the preliminary hearing was rescheduled for January 28th. Filing party did not show again, charges were dismissed. Gagnon 1 hearing was held on January 17th and detainer was not lifted. After the criminal charges were dismissed, we had no idea when the Gagnon 2 hearing would be held and my son would have to sit in jail for who knows how long. When I contacted Tom he was outright honest, he said that he would not take my money unless he felt confident about a favorable outcome.
