Several months ago, I was pulled over for a DUI, and having never had any encounters with the criminal justice system before, I was so entirely grateful for Attorney Gerson. It was such a scary, stressful time, but he came through for me. From the moment I called Gary, I knew I had made the right ...choice. I cannot begin to explain the amount of shame I felt surrounding my arrest and the fear of not knowing how I would get through it, but I eventually did and it was all thanks to Gary's empathy and sound advice. He really came through for me and I ended up getting a reckless driving charge with a minimal fine. It was short of a miracle what Mr. Gerson accomplished! Through the entire process, Gary was there for me. He is not only a quality attorney, but just a really great person in general. He cared and I could tell that he cared. Thank you, Gary, for helping me get through one of the hardest times in my life! I highly recommend that if you or a loved one are charged with a crime that you contact Gary Gerson. Gary was absolutely the most communicative lawyer I have ever encountered, we were always able to reach him or Rick one way or another. His professionalism, courtesy and understanding was beyond what... I could ever hope for. Impressive skills & wonderful down to earth person to speak to as well as being tough enough to get things done.

I was burned by my first attorney and I was considering terminating him and hiring a new one. I called a few different law offices, one of which was Gary Gerson's. When we spoke, he told me that he would be able to help me and would be glad to step in as soon as I fired my other attorney. I asked him... what his opinion was regarding my case and what he might be able to do for me, but he was very short with me and unwilling to give me any information (other than how much he charged) until he had confirmation that I fired my attorney. I fired my attorney accordingly, and then contacted Mr. Gerson immediately so that I could discuss my case with him and retain him. He promptly sent me a fee agreement, but before I signed it and paid the retainer fee, I wanted to go over my case with him and get a better sense of what he planned to do going forward. I tried calling him several times but couldn't reach him. When I finally got ahold of him the following day, he scolded me for calling him because he was with his family and told me verbatim, "I don't like to mix work with family time." I understood his sentiment, but I was a little bit off-put by how rude he was during the call. Later that day I was browsing different attorneys and I came across a site called Thumbtack (it was my first time using the site and I had no idea how it worked). I still had every intention of retaining Mr. Gerson, but I was waiting until we spoke so I could ask him a few questions first. However, Mr. Gerson received a notification via Thumbtack that I was browsing other attorneys and was apparently very offended by this; he sent me a text message the following morning that said, "I received a Thumbtack request that you were looking at other attorneys. For this reason, I am no longer interested in representing you so please do not contact me for any other discussion regarding your case." Needless to say, Mr. Gerson did not end up representing me. However, I was glad it ended up this way because I hired a different attorney who I am very happy with and who answers all of my questions and achieved a very desirable outcome for my case. I can't speak for Mr. Gerson's legal skills, but I was appalled by how unpleasant and impolite he was. He didn't seem to care that my life and future were on the line in light of his own ego.
