I hired Barrett Mack to advise me while my ex and I decided to go through mediation. I met with Barrett prior to mediation beginning and he explained the laws regarding separation/divorce. We have children and very complex finances, including stock options that I didn’t understand much about before...hand. Barrett was never judgmental about my situation and provided immense support throughout the entire process. He was very easily accessible via phone, email, and text. Getting in to see him in his office was also easy. He made me feel like I was a top priority at all times. He also set my mind at ease when things got tense with my ex. (I paid much more attention to the children than our finances during the marriage…) When mediation ended and it was time to write up our agreement based on our memorandum of understanding, my ex’s lawyer took 2 weeks to cut and paste from different templates. The agreement was so choppy, it didn’t make sense. Barrett and his amazing staff had it fixed within a few short days. He went over everything with a fine tooth comb to make sure I was protected by the agreement and that I was satisfied with it. He also never billed me unnecessarily; every charge was more than fair. In fact, he wound up being less expensive than my ex’s rather large name attorney that was difficult to get ahold of and frankly did sub-par work. I would highly recommend Barrett to anyone going through a divorce or separation, and I have already recommended him to friends. He is an excellent attorney and a wonderful person.
