My experience with the Law Firm of Raiser & Kenniff began after I experienced much disappointment with my previous attorney. I was referred to Steven Raiser by a professional associate, and never looked back!
At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I now reside in Florida, though my Court appeara...nce was in Central Islip, Long Island. I wasn’t able to meet Steven in person, so an initial phone conversation would necessarily have to make me feel comfortable that I was going to be represented properly, with a feeling of mutual trust. At the end of the conversation, I knew I had found the best attorney to represent me!
Even so, I didn’t sign our agreement immediately, as I wanted to ponder what Steven and I had discussed, and make a logical, unemotional decision on how to proceed. Needless to say, there was a lot at stake for me personally and professionally in making the decision to go with Raiser & Kenniff.
After about a week of thinking whether I should move forward with Steven, I did make the decision to hire his firm, and an agreement was drawn up and sent to me via email, which I signed after some further brief explanation, and a minor amendment. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made!!
My particular case had been adjourned many times before Steven’s firm came on board, and it didn’t change much after that. For almost 6-months, Raiser & Kenniff patiently represented me in court in my absence, as I was traveling on business to various States and then back to Florida. Not once was I concerned about our remote relationship, and after each court adjournment, I received a prompt call from Raiser & Kenniff letting me know what happened in court and when my next trial date was scheduled for. Working at a distance during this period with Raiser & Kenniff was painless and put my mind at ease even more as we went along.
When the time finally came for my trial to take place, I flew up a few days prior to prepare emotionally for my day in court. Steven called me several times to walk me through several scenarios we could potentially encounter from the Assistant District Attorney (ADA), the Judge and the Jury. We went through each of these scenarios several times so I was completely comfortable with what would potentially take place in the court room. He advised and guided me with patience and empathy.
I finally met Steven Raiser in person on the first day of my trial. We connected immediately, and got down to the business of my defense. As is the case with many incidents in my life, the folly of my trial and court proceeding events soon began. The ADA decided at the last minute to submit revised evidence, which Steven was aware they would attempt. The Judge allowed this occurrence, and several others from the ADA that Steven handled with professionalism and a passion for his work. Throughout the entire trial, which took 5-days due to many unusual events and circumstances, Steven maintained his composure and patience with a Judge who was not easy to negotiate and deal with. There were moments when both of us couldn’t believe what was taking place, but in the end, I got my day in court, and Steven Raiser won an acquittal for me, redeeming me from being labeled a criminal for the rest of my life.
Words can’t really express how much gratitude I have for Steven, Tony, Christine, Jesse, Jeanne and the rest of the staff at Raiser & Kenniff. Without their dedication, perseverance, patience, passion and empathy for my case and for me personally, I don’t think I would have been able to keep my pristine record of excellent citizenry intact.
I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Steven Raiser and the firm Raiser & Kenniff to anyone that has any delicate issue with a criminal court. He is truly an exemplary Lawyer and is benchmark for all in his profession to attempt to live up to.
