We hired Mr. Terezakis in 2016 when my husband at the time boyfriend was arrested by ICE while on probation after being convicted of defrauding the US government (an aggravated federal conviction) in 2012. At the time of the criminal case arrest my husband had only been a resident for nearly 2 years ...which made his case so much harder, he didn’t qualify for any of the relief available to those who have been residents for over 5 years, there was no hope for him. When ICE took him the world came crashing down, our family and I were desperate not knowing what was going to happen to him, we had no idea where they had taken him, a friend of our provided us with Mr. Terezakis info and we contacted him promptly on Friday the same day my husband was taken, it was such a relief for us when Mr. Terezakis told us where my husband was being detained and the very next day he went to visit him. When we met Mr. Terezakis he was very honest about the situation and right from the start he told us that my husband case was going to be a very difficult one to fight considering his serious conviction and the short time he had been in the US. Despite these facts Mr. Terezakis decided to take his case which gave us hope. We trusted his knowledge and experience considering his background on criminal defense but most of all his compassion towards our situation, he was very honest and told us that there was not guarantee that our case was going to be successful.
After 6 months Mr. Terezakis was able to get my husband released under bond. And we felt a huge weight off our shoulder to finally have him back with our family. Throughout these years Mr. Terezakis firm has been working diligently to win my husband case. They have been very understanding and we have appreciated how flexible they have been with offering us time to pay and charging us a fair price for their services. They have truly treated us like family, never did they stop working on the case because of money which shows that they actually care for the future of their clients and more than just being a business, they have a mission give their clients a second chance and keep families together in this wonderful country.
My husband was scheduled to appear to an individual hearing in 2018 but it was rescheduled to April of 2023, after being released from detention we were able to get married and my husband successfully started his own business. We have been living in dismay, not knowing how my husband case was going to play out, as a result we have had to put many of our dreams on hold. We can finally say that our fear for the future is over just a few days before his hearing we received the news, My husband case had been DISMISSED !!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes, I cried of joy, I sat so many times in the office looking at file cases with Closed written on the outside and wondering when it was going to be our turn, I will be eternally grateful to the entire Terezakis law firm staff for all the effort and hard work they put into our case. I will forever hold Fabiola close to my heart, she was on top of every detail, always available to answer our questions and address our concerns. They were literally a phone call away and always made sure we were understood what was being done. You can’t put a price on peace of mind. The last two months before the hearing we were constantly texting and calling each other making sure every detail was accurate and correct, I had faith that we were going to be victorious after the extensive packet they had prepared for immigration. We didn’t even have to go to court, it was such a relief. This has been the hardest situation we have faced but God made sure we were surrounded by a winning team and overall well round people with the best intentions to get us through it. This is a dream come true, I’m still disbelief.
They are currently working on getting his citizenship.
Thank you God & the Terezakis Law Firm !
