Alena is a very professional and excellent attorney for immigration issues.She gave me hope with my case and was very realistic with the timelines regarding my case. She worked tirelessly to make sure all my documents were filed on time.I am forever grateful for her help.I also want to appreciate... Greg who works at Alena's Brooklyn office location ,he was very professional and always encouraging to look at the bright side of things when I had no hope. whats right is right, what's wrong is wrong!

A few years ago I was fired from my job of 5 years, the reason given was purely false and weak but I had no other choice but to pack my stuff and walk away! Upon walking away I knew something was wrong but didn't know the law, I didn't just lose my job that day, I lost myself confidence, I don't want... to sound dramatic but this decision made to terminate me really messed me up. I didn't think of fighting back because I had no idea how to even start. As I started my job search I came across many law firms who represent victims like me and I asked for advise, no one bothered to respond so I gave up and when on job interviews however was quickly smacked with reality, I struggled with adding my previous employer on my resume, I struggled with adding names of ppl in this company who would at least vouch for my 5 year employment, I was terrified to say the least, one day I received a call from Alena, not her secretary, not her phone answering system but she took the time to call me directly and speak to me, right away after a few minutes of basic conversation with her I felt a sense of relief, Alena did not speak to me like a lawyer, she spoke to me like a mom, like a sister and I felt so comfortable with her, I then decided to meet with her, I didn't expect to see a tiny lady behind a desk, not my the way she sounded on the phone at least lol.... Alena spent hours with me, we spoke about my options, she let me decide whether or not I wanted to pursue fighting back, I never felt pressured but what I did feel was secure. The case was not easy but she fought every single time, Alena quickly became not only my attorney but someone I could Reach out to when in doubt, Alena is a busy attorney and a family woman but she never made me wait on answers, every time I reached out, she responded. The case took some time to settle but not as much as I anticipated and I strongly believe it was because she was on top of everything. During our time together Alena became sort of a mentor, I'm happy to say that eventually, I took back my confidence this company took from me, I was able to get into a another great company and that's because Alena lead me in the right direction, we finally won the battle and settled the case, in the end the compensation was nice but winning the battle was sweeter. There are laws that protect us from companies that discriminate against race and sexual preferences and I would've never, ever known that without the knowledge of Alena Shautsova, she won my case but she also won the respect of my family and myself. Alena is not only the smartest lawyer I've met ( and I've met quite a few) but she's also a caring individual who knows the law from front to end and will fight tooth and nail for your rights! I hope to never have to go through this experience again but if I do, it's Alena Shautsova I'd choose to go to war with, from the day I met her I knew, everything was going to be alright! Thank you Alena, you have given me the self confidence I never knew I had, I tip my hat off to you and your team! Thank u from the bottom of my heart for everything you have taught me and for helping me get my life back on track! I am forever grateful!

Professional, competent, and very pleasant

My mom applied to US citizenship with medical N-648. On her first interview an immigration officer denied her disability waiver, she is a qualified applicant but the form was rejected anyway. My mom’s passed the exam successfully with this lawyer’s assistance and became a U.S. citizen. Alena was professional, pleasant, and kept the promises.
