Grateful Beyond Words: The Attorney Who Saved My Asylum Case

Words can’t fully express how grateful I am to Ms. Shautsova, but I’ll try. She helped me with my complex defensive asylum case and supported me through one of the most difficult periods of my life. I had originally hired a well-known Manhattan-based attorney who took my retainer and then complete...ly stopped responding to my messages and calls, leaving me in the dark just four months before my court date. I was completely lost and had no idea what to do next. While searching online, I came across Ms. Shautsova’s profile on Avvo. Her experience and client reviews stood out, so I scheduled a consultation. Right away, she came across as someone knowledgeable and trustworthy. That one consultation gave me more insight and direction than I had gotten from my previous attorney over several years. Throughout the case preparation, she stayed in touch, guided me, and gave me the push I needed, especially when I was struggling due to my earlier negative experience. I wasn’t the easiest client, but she was patient and professional every step of the way (please, be good clients!). My hearing was held online and scheduled alongside two other cases. One person’s attorney didn’t show up, and another had filed documents incorrectly, so both of their hearings were postponed for years.
