Mr. Sexton is excellent at what he does. He is warm, compassionate, and most importantly knows and understands people. He knows when to interject during mediation and when to allow you to negotiate on your own. He is empahetic- he knows and appreciates how trying and difficult this processing is an...d can be. And he always acknowledged both sides of our point of view and made recommendations on each of our account. Without Mr. Sexton, we would without a doubt be in a nasty court battle. Look no further.

Sexton failed to represent me diligently. He lost my case at every opportunity. He compromised my situation and charged a small fortune to put me in a worse position. He is arrogant, spiteful and is super focused on how much he can bill me. His staff is super aggressive and care only about collecti...ng money. He put me in a significantly worse position than before I worked with him. I would recommend using anyone else but him. Hard to believe his tactics are legal.

I hired James Sexton for my child custody hearing and gave them a fixed budget (substantial) and they came back to me with a bill double the budget without advance notice. I paid it...based on false pretense from the kids mom I was accused of an infraction that was not true. I gain my custody back bu...t was stuck with child support that was unwarranted and outlined in my divorce as agreed to be not included. Basically I got back what I already had a huge cost and on top of that child support. He is good at what he does but makes no apologies for over billing. When you call to discuss strategies, they won't talk to you with a retainer on file...despite a large sum already paid.
