I have never felt so vulnerable as when I was going through my divorce. James Sexton embodies everything you could want in a divorce lawyer and more ! Yes, he is knowledgeable, hard working, ethical and has great courtroom savvy, but he also has a Zen-like calmness and compassion that I really needed... at this very emotional time in my life. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mr. Sexton ! He really took the time to make sure I understood the process every step of the way and intelligently and reassuringly answered all my many, many questions. :) I do not think I am exaggerating when I say he was my champion, my life preserver in the messy sea that is divorce.

I'm not sure where I'd be without Jim Sexton. He handled my divorce and, as difficult a time as that was for me emotionally, psychologically, and financially, he helped me get to the other side so that I was in the best place I could be, given the circumstances - way better, financially, than I thoug...ht I ever would be. He just knew things about the law that the opposing counsel did not. He was always totally prepared. He handled my calls and listened to my concerns - though he was not shy to point out when he thought I was doing something that would only satisfy my short-term spite while sacrificing my (and my kids) long-term best interests. He was always thinking about the big picture - the rest of my life still ahead of me - even when I didn't. Because I couldn't. There are some decisions you make where, when you look back, you realize how different things would have been had you gone another way. Showing up at Jim's office and then choosing him (though it was hardly a choice - I could tell right away he was the guy) was THE best marriage-related decision I made in the last five years (even though it had to do with the dissolution of my marriage). He is never lost at sea and you always feel that he has your back. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I don't quite understand the poor review. Mr. Sexton did a stellar job on a very difficult case. My ex decided to hire a quasi-famous "Johnny Cochran"-type who had the rhymes, the cunning, and frankly, the bending of ethical standards in his approach to law. James did not crack under this extreme pre...ssure, and through his knowledge of many past cases, managed to let my ex's attorney box himself into a corner and then all-but-abandon ship. James is a serious, creative, and clever man. I could swear he lives by Sun-Tzu and Machiavelli in the force and relentlessness he put forth in destroying my ex-wife's attempts at smearing me. The proof is in the pudding, and my experience with him was quite tasty.

James is an incredible family lawyer! He was there at every step to assist and explain (never have I met anyone so knowledgeable). Most of all I found Jim to be considerate of all of my needs. He met every ethical expectation and at the same time I always felt that Jim was on my side. Jim is a rare f...ind, I could never ask for better representation, thank you Jim!

James Sexton Helped my Wife and I with a very complicated Prenuptial. She is a foreign national and we were under time pressure from the US government to get married before she lost her visa, and pressure from both of our (crazy) Family's. Mr. Sexton initially tried to recommend us to another lawye...r because he had a full case load at the time and we needed the paperwork done fast. He was highly recommended by a friend of mine and I was very nervous so he said he would help us. He worked overtime for us and never went over his initial estimate even though he worked late into the night for us. I have never met a nicer lawyer.
