Outstanding outcome

I am very pleased that I chose Michael J Palumbo law firm to represent me in the Greenburgh Town Court. The resolved my ticket with a plea from the charge of Failure to Move Over for An Emergency Vehicle (3 points) to the reduced charge of a 0 point parking violation. It was a great experience to dea...l with them, because from the very beginning I felt their professional approach to my case. Ronnie Ritz was profound and attentive, answered all my emails, regularly updated the situation with my case because the Greenburgh Town Court was perhaps one of the busiest in US and during almost 5 months Ronnie was very patiently replying to all my numerous letters. Thank you very much!!

We resolved your ticket in City Court with a plea from the charge of 6 point speeding ticket to a parking ticket

To Palumbo & Associates, I can't express how pleased I am with your team and staff. From the first call to your offices I knew I was in great hands and would be fairly represented. What I could not have expected was the exceptional results your team negotiated in my behave. I didn't even have ...to loose time from work to be in court because you took care of everything exactly the way you said you would. I work in central CT so that was a huge savings in time and expenses. The day I received the ticket I had just found out my Mom had stage 4 cancer and I was consumed with worry and overwhelmed with emotion. Since then her treatments have been going very well and with the grace of God will beat it. Thank you once again for exceeding your commitment to me. You have the upmost integrity in the services you provide. Sincerely , Mark G

He is Horrible!!!

Michael J. Palumbo is a horrible attorney! I consulted with him for a traffic violation, and I couldn't get one word in. He started off by telling me that I will need to hire him today before he even ask me anything about the traffic offense. In addition he kept cutting me off mid sentence just to as...k me the same thing I was trying to explain to him. It is hard for someone to represent you when they don't even listen to your concern. The worst part is that mr. Palumbo hang up the phone on me, then called me back to say that he emailed me the documents for me to hire him. He further said that he hang up on me because I don't need to explain anything to him! He shouldn't get paid for that kind of service.

My office receives over 50 phone inquiries a day and just as many e-mail inquiries a day. They are all handled professionally and with courtesy. Often times we do not e-mail a retainer to the person because they end up not wanting our services or cannot afford our services. Sometimes people really don't want the service but just want to vent about the stop. In those instances yes we terminate the conversation because we are lawyers here to defend people and cannot help persons who do not want what we can provide. However, in those cases we never get to the point whereby we send them a retainer agreement. In this case, I believe this person is totally confused. First off, I have no personal recollection of such a phone call. Second, my office procedure is such that the only time I make a follow up phone call after we sent a retainer is if someone from my office staff initially took the call and e-mailed the retainer. But again, we would only do that if we DID NOT terminate the conversation with them because they did not want or need the services. What likely happened here is that this person has likely spoken to many traffic ticket lawyers and got confused between the experience he or she had with our office and the experience he or she had with another law office. This is common, as when our office makes follow up phone calls many times people have spoken to so many law firms that they are confused about which firm is calling back. We are very proud of our responsiveness to new client inquiries. We pride ourselves in immediate response to inquiries and having a staff that is fully trained in traffic ticket and auto crime defense, so that ANYONE who answers your call can give you the information you want on the first call without waiting. We are proud of the fact that many times your initial call is handled by a lawyer and not a clerk, and that within the day you called if you did not initially speak to a lawyer, an attorney will call you back. We are proud of the fact that we have a 24 / 7 after hours answering service, and that after hours calls ALWAYS get sent to an attorney to return the call and that we return calls off hours and prior to the next business day. As you can see, this person did not even retain our office. Again, I have no knowledge, recollection, or record of this occurring, and in fact based on our office procedure it is an impossibility to have occurred the way this person relates. I am 100% confident that this person has confused us with another law firm. However, you don't have to take my word for this. If you have received a speeding ticket, traffic ticket, or auto crime, I invite you to judge for yourself. Pick up the phone and give us a call right now toll free at 1-877-99-No-Tix (1-877-996-6849). Your call will be answered at all times by a live person who will be able to give you immediate and substantial information about your case, provide you with more information electronically, and answer all of your questions professionally and accurately. Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to service you!

Almost Suspended license resolved !

On my way home from work last month I was stopped by an officer who alleged I was going 94mph In a 40mph zone on sunrise highway in lynbrook. Officer didn't want to hear anything from me and gave me the speeding ticket along with 2 tickets for changing lanes without signaling , a ticket for no front ...plate, and a ticket for expired registration. So basically he screwed me over and walked back to his car saying theylle take my license away. I contacted several attorney offices but Michael personally called me and made sure that his priority was to keep me on the road. He guided me and told me exactly what he would do with each ticket. I left everything in his hands hoping for the best and they were able to knock down and dismiss all of my tickets along with bringing a 15 point violation to a 6 points in total. All I have to do now is take a assessment online to reduce my points. Job well done!

Rude and arrogant

Had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Palumbo this morning, when he called me to consult on a speeding ticket I had inquired about through his online reference system. Before I go any further I would like to note that I made it clear to Mr. Palumbo that I was "pricing it out", seeing whether or not i...n my current financial situation I could even afford an attorney. After his forceful sales pitch, (attempting to get you to answer everything with a "yes" by lobbing softball questions at you), I informed Mr. Palumbo that I appreciate what he does but didn't think I could afford it at this moment in time. To which he inquired what my budget happened to be.. When Mr. Palumbo heard that I only had around 300 for legal fees (mind you I wasn't offering him this reduced rate for his services, I was merely telling him that due to my 300 dollar budget constraint I would be unable to proceed with getting an attorney) he became irate, began to yell and loudly inform me that no attorney like him would even "scratch their a** for 300 dollars", that I should "go screw around in Bronx court" and "just pay the fine don't waste my time" before promptly, hanging up the phone on me. Mr. Palumbo, when someone is inquiring about something it generally means they're weighing the costs and benefits of different courses of action. Being that I have never received a traffic ticket in the New York City area before, I was unaware of the standard cost to retain an attorney for a traffic violation, hence why I INQUIRED to see what I could and couldn't afford. It would behoove you to be less condescending and abrasive to people who are trying to make the most informed decision regarding their situation, and rather than attempting to humiliate and degrade someone, kindly inform them of the services you provide and the cost, so they can make an informed decision. Best of luck to you.

This review is wild! And from someone who never even retained my office! This guy is frustrated because he tried to get away with intellectual larceny and was busted. I am glad he wrote this review and hope that every person reads it and my response before they call us. This way, people who are serious about retaining us will know the basics of what we need to know to in order to assist you. We are happy to give a free phone consult to those that are not trying to take advantage of us. In fact, the best way to get the most knowledge and information out of your complementary phone consult is to either scan and e-mail to Michael@MPalumboLaw.com the tickets, or fax it to 914-777-2999. Here's what happened with this phony. I speak to dozens of people a day and give a free phone consult to everyone that calls. However, the phone consult is for the purposes of explaining to you your situation, explaining our service, and expressing the value of what we have to offer if you retain us. The free consult is NOT to let the caller drone on with their tale of woe stream of consciousness. Nor am I here to allow you to pick my brain so that you can go represent yourself. The easiest way of cutting to the chase about your situation and what we can do for you is for me to ask you questions that are short, sweet, and to the point and to have you answer just the question I ask. Only after we get the framework then I ask you to put the meat on the bones and tell me what you believe is relevant to get you a good outcome. For me to give you a valuable phone consult, I first need to know the following 3 things: What court your case is before, what you are charged with, and if it was speeding how fast over the limit you were accused. Many people will answer "the cop lied, I was not speeding, bla, bla, bla..." to the simple question of "what court is your case before?" So yes, I cut them right off because at that point I do not need to know whatever it is they are saying I just need to know the name of the court. What this guy was trying to do was commit "intellectual larceny," i.e, he had no intention of retaining us and was pretending to in order to pick my brain about how to go it alone. This is attempted larceny, no less so then shoplifting merchandise. My inventory is the body of knowledge that I spent an entire career and invested a lot of time, money, and resources into. I am not going to give it away for free. I have been doing this a long time so I am adept at sniffing out those that attempt to steal my knowledge. If you are reading this and think that's what you're going to do when you call us don't waste you time it's not going to work. That said, I take no issue whatsoever with those that explore and discuss what we have to offer with an open mind. I have no problem giving someone valuable information even when they don't retain us. Often times the value is just not there for people or they feel more comfortable with a different law firm. I am happy to give people who make inquiries with an open mind tremendous information so that they can make an informed decision on how to handle their case. This guy was a joke. He had no intention of retaining us. He was not asking us what the ramifications on his insurance and driving history would be if he plead guilty compared to what we could do for him to avoid that, or the value of retaining our office vs. going it alone. He did not want me to explain to him he economic value of our services and how we could save him time and money. No, he was asking me quite literally how to do it himself and if he did one thing or another would it work. He only came here to rant because he was frustrated that I would not allow him to steal my inventory and is trying to deter people from calling. So don't take this guy's word for it. Check out our HUNDREDS of 5 star reviews, give us a call, and judge for yourself! If you have a ticket don't wait call now 914-777-2990. Thanks!
