I hired Mr. Palumbo in October, paid a steep price for apparently the best traffic lawyer in the city. I was told his team would try their best to push the date in hopes of dismissals. I was hesitant on hiring him because of the price but was confident due to the 5 star reviews. On January 18, 2018 I... was found guilty with 4 points and had to pay $288. I was not too upset with the verdict because it is very difficult to drop a speeding ticket case in the state of NYC. However, I am disappointed in the fact that I was told the case would be postponed so that I would avoid the driver assessment fee (18months). Today, I received a letter in the mail that I had to pay $450 for the assessment fee which I believe could have been avoided if Palumbo's team have done their job. i believe that paying the steep price of almost $700 would grant me at least the benefit of the doubt that the case would be pushed so I would avoid paying the driver assessment fee. Overall, I believe Michael Palumbo's team tried their best to fight my speeding ticket, but made promises that they couldn't keep.

License revocation consult is $750 - not free. He won't tell you whether you have a chance or not without $750 - which I would have paid if he was more mature in his manner. When I asked what it would cost me to find out that there was no hope he said "$150...no wait, $750 and I'm gonna make you sign... an agreement not to ask for a refund cuz I can already tell what kind of person you are". He could already tell what kind of person I was from a four minute conversation where I was asking for his help. Incidentally, I am a disabled vet who has struggled with alcoholism and depression since combat, have presently been sober for 3 years and have become a successful pre-med student - in an effort to overcome my disabilities. Read his responses to his negative reviews to see what kind of businessman he is.

I retained Palumbo & Associates to handle a VTL 1172 (Failure to stop at a stop sign) violation in TVB Queens around September, 2016. Mr. Palumbo came up as a leader in the industry and was one of 4 phone calls I made to retain counsel for this matter. Despite having the highest retainer fee of all... the attorneys that I contacted on that date, I decided to retain him because he was the only one who spoke to me at length about my case, and responded to my concerns about specific intricacies of my situation prior to retainer execution. It was very clear that he is not only knowledgeable in this area of law, but a zealous advocate for his clients. It should be noted that Mr. Palumbo, in my opinion, comes off aggressive to the point of discomfort. I have had two phone calls with the man and he was speaking/yelling at full volume on both occasions. Further, when I contacted his offices at a later date with concerns about my case adjournment, the staff that I dealt with was dismissive and condescending. I am happy to recommend Mr. Palumbo based on his legal acumen, but would caution those who are more timid in asserting themselves against the overbearing nature of his practice.

So happy! I remember calling on the day i received the 6point speeding ticket in Queens, i believe it was on a saturday; and to my surprise i was able to speak to Michael Palumbo himself!
