Outstanding, Professional, Calming and Effective

Julie is hands down the single best decision I have made in my life. She is a fantastic communicator, she's honest and upfront and she works tirelessly for the right outcomes for you. In my case a complete dismissal less than 10 working days from when the charges were originally pressed and witho...ut my ever having to return to court or in our case, having even to meet face to face. She is that effective in what she does. I was arrested on a Saturday afternoon and subsequently charged with two (2) domestic violence felony assault charges (a horrific 'overcharge') by the NYPD. I had attempted to restrain a drunken partner to keep the peace in my downtown apartment and our neighbors as a direct result of the commotion had called the police out of concern. Upon my eventual release late on the Sunday evening I turned immediately to the internet in search of a lawyer to help to untangle me from what was both a career and life limiting situation. Julie answered immediately when I called, she listened attentively and she educated me on the options we had. To compound my case I was dealing with work permit and immigration concerns which left me under a huge amount of duress. She reassured me to leave things with her, to refocus on my normal life and that she had things in hand. I knew immediately that she did. Communicating initially almost hourly and making herself constantly available to alleviate my fears and even just to talk things through, Julie worked and negotiated with the DA , pleading my case, my side of the story and justification for the case to be thrown out. She steadfastly refused to accept anything other than a full and unconditional dismissal each and every time the DA reverted with lesser and lesser charges in the hope of sticking something. Julie won. As far as recommendations go, this is about as extreme as one can make. Do not mess around with your future and the heavy burden that a checkered criminal history carries. Julie is not expensive nor is she there to waste your time or hers, she just gets it done. Like me, I can assure you it's the smartest call you'll ever make.

Great LAWYER

I had went to Ms. Rendelman for a family issue. I had explained to Her my money situation and she worked with me. I was a nervous reck and every time I texted her or called she reassured me I will be ok and I would be released the same day. When we was in court her response to the DA was beautiful!!!... It really was amazing she is the best!! From now on she will be the only i will be dealing with. SHE IS AMAZING AND KNOW WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT!

Julie's the best. Look no further - just call her and she'll get it done!

I was unfairly accused of assault / domestic abuse by my ex-boyfriend, and by the time I found Julie, I was pretty much sure that he had destroyed my life - that in the end, I would have a criminal record for something I didn't do, that I would never be able to get a job again with a criminal record,... etc. At our consultation meeting, Julie was understanding and patient. She listened to the entire story of what happened, and she put me at ease. She explained what my options were and even called me later that evening to make sure that I was ok after having to dredge up the whole painful story for her at our consultation. I thought, "Wow, so kind of her to be concerned!" In this day and age, and especially after having been dragged through the mud by ex, it was surprising and really comforting to know that my case was being handled by someone who actually cared about more than just the paycheck and the verdict at the end... That my case was being handled by someone who cared about how I was doing, if I was hanging in there, etc. I was impressed. I was even more impressed that miraculously, Julie got it all handled with the DA's office, and managed somehow get me out of trouble completely in less than two weeks! And what's more, she reduced her fee because the case was handled in less time than we originally thought! So the long and short of it is this: I was an emotional basketcase after being unjustly accused of a crime and was sure my life was ruined. I saw Julie, and two weeks later it was all taken care of and I was free to move on with my life. And to top it all off, once it was all over, she says, "Hey you know the rest of that money you owe me? Don't pay me that - we're all good." She's absolutely the best. You'd have to be a fool not to hire her!

Excellent!

Julie has been professional and responsive throughout my case. She is very knowledgeable and always has my best interests in mind. She is very easy to talk to and provided assurance, which helped alleviate the stress of having to appear in court. Could not ask for anyone better!

Domestic violence case

Julie was referred to us by her colleague. She was willing to make an appointment with me immediately. The prime factor in retaining her was the reasonable fees and willing to pay in installments. I also chose her based on her experience of working on the other end with the DA's office. She has the e...xperience and knew what prosecutors look for in a case, and played her role of how to give them the findings. She helped my boyfriend and I with a tedious domestic violence case. We were lucky in that the issue was minor. Neither my boyfriend or I had to go in to our court date. She had discussions with the Assistant D.A. beforehand and ultimately got our case dropped. A major key factor was her attitude of willing to work hard and her responsiveness. She is continuously available when I had questions and reassured me in any matters. She made it clear that nothing is 100% certain but to accept every outcome, albeit our case was dropped in the end. She is open and, like I said before, knows the encounters from both ends - prosecution and defense. I recommend Julie to those who are looking for a very straight-forward but helpful person with their case. She is reasonable and expects honesty so she can manage the situation well. I still contact her months after our case for any follow up questions or concerns, and she is readily happy to help, always leaving a smile on my face.
