I'll start by saying that if you're looking for a good lawyer, Spinello is the person you want representing you. I was arrested & charged with marijuana possession and Spinello got ALL of my charges dismissed. It's hard to know where to start when reviewing him - I deeply respect him as a professiona...l in law, and I really genuinely like him as a person! I’m absolutely amazed with the whole experience with him. From the outset (and continually), it was clear he was extremely knowledgeable about my judge's personality/tendencies, changing legislation regarding Marijuana in NJ, and all the possible outcomes for me. I’m a full-time college student on the West Coast and was initially extremely anxious about being so far away from NJ, but I felt peace because Spinello was always extremely honest, keeping me in the loop, easy to reach, and responsive to my questions. We’d be in contact before my court dates and he would always call me immediately afterwards with the updates. Beforehand, he’d always present the possible outcomes, ask what I wanted, and then give his professional opinion on the best way to get there. Considering how high-stakes these charges were for my future, I was extra vigilant in the beginning to see how much Spinello prioritized this case. He exceeded my standard -- he was extremely proactive (steps ahead of me) and I saw that he was always acting with my best possible outcome in mind. I came to feel secure with genuinely trusting him. My co-defendant in this case is my friend, and his lawyer did a totally fine job... but my friend and I would joke about how “Spinello is THE man,” not only because is he incredibly personable, but thanks to his communication, I always had a much better grip on what was happening in the legal landscape of things before our court dates, and I always heard the outcome from my lawyer hours before my co-defendant heard it from his. Spinello was extremely strategic in what he decided to do in court -- after months of showing up for me, he got my charges dismissed. It all happened because of calculated moves he’d made months ahead of time. I’m glad to say I have all my charges DISMISSED, but if I were to ever need a lawyer in NJ again, I would call Spinello in a heartbeat. I am so pleased with my results, and I hope that someone else can feel as at-peace during their court case with Spinello as I did during my time with him. I had a speeding ticket, 26 miles over the speed limit, and I am from out of state. Mr. Spinello completely took over the entire situation.
