Knowledgeable and Honest

Thomas Carroll Blauvelt is one of the best lawyers I’ve worked with. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I had gotten five ticket, one being a DUI, and thanks to his expertise all of the charges were dismissed. Can’t thank him enough for everything He did and all the time and effort He put into my c...ase. From the moment I hired him he quickly collected all the evidence and by the time I met up with him He knew everything about my case. His staff also did a great job following up with the court dates and sending me all the document prior to my court dates. You will not be disappointed.

AMAZING!

Tom is an amazing lawyer. He was able to help me through my criminal case filed against my entire family. He was really reassuring throughout the process and in the first meeting told me that "I see alot of people walk into my office and I can tell when someone is lying and when someone is telling th...e truth. I know you are telling the truth and will help you get through this." That statement meant the world to me.

the reviews are true!

After doing extensive searches through online reviews, ratings, attorney websites, etc. I narrowed my search down to 3 lawyers. I first reached out to Tom, as he had excellent reviews (and a lot of them!), an office right in town, and a fixed rate. After making an online inquiry, I was surprised to r...eceive a reply from Tom almost instantly so I set up an appt for a consultation. After meeting with Tom, I decided not to pursue the other options. I could tell from the first meeting that I trusted him to handle this very serious issue for me. This was my first time dealing with this type of legal matter was in a very bad situation to say the least (facing 9 charges in Sup Court!) I was extremely anxious and afraid of what could happen, but Tom eased my fears - explaining everything calmly and optimistically but without making any unrealistic promises. In the weeks before my court date, Tom provided me with guidance on what to do and shared all info he received pertaining to my case. Everything he told me was spot on. Also, Tom's office was excellent in keeping me informed and replying to all my emails and calls. (My boyfriend wasn't so fortunate and had horrible experiences with other attorney offices - they barely gave him any info on his case, we had to beg for a reply to emails, never even got discovery, one office gave him the wrong date for hearing resulting in a bench warrant, and another even sent him to the wrong courthouse!) I was so relieved that I chose Tom's office - they were top notch! Tom guided me through it all and I never felt alone. I witnessed firsthand that Tom is well recognized and respected; Court staff knew him by name, and he navigated me through all of the court processes (appearances, applications, etc) perfectly. I've already recommended Tom to others, and I encourage anyone facing a criminal matter to make an appointment for a consultation and you will see for yourself!

DUI

I hired Thomas back in September 2016 for my DUI through my fiance recommendation base on his other reviews from his clients. The case run for 5 1/2 months and those months was the hardest thing I had to face since it was my second DUI and I didn't know what the outcome will be. I was afraid that I w...ill somehow lose my license and no way of getting to work. I put my trust on Thomas and he went in there for each court date appearance presenting my case with all the discovery he had obtain from the state. Don't get me wrong, Thomas did warned me that he can't win all cases for all the clients he had, but I told he is the best and I trust him to defend my case. My final day of trial was yestereday 1/16 I was so shaken when speaking to him explaining what direction this trial can go, but at the end of the trial, he was able to dismiss the case. I was so excited to leave that court room and I will never want to see any court room again. I didn't go wrong hiring Thomas Blauvelt. Thomas, Thanks for the work that you did. I am ecstatic of the outcome of the trial.

The Municipal Prosecutor did not stand a chance with Mr. Blauvelt

I never met with this attorney in person because I do not live in New Jersey. We spoke on the phone once and I him retained based on all of the positive information that I found online and his reasonable flat fee. Within a day or two he was on the case and sent me what he sent to the prosecutor. I kn...ew that the city was in for a battle if they did not drop my charges which, if convicted, I faced "mandatory" jail time. Well, he let me know that a bail was set, I paid the bail, and in about thirty days he'd left me a voicemail letting me know that everything was dismissed. The money order that I used to pay the bail was in my mailbox before I even knew that the case was resosolved; they never had a chance to cash the money order because he was on them from the start and they did not want to deal with him. And I still have only spoken to him just one time. This guy was awesome. His staff was awesome. Within a month after retaining Mr. Blauvelt I am able to get a driver's license again and will not have to pay a single red cent more than I owed prior to retaining him. I highly recommend him as legal counsel. After all was said and done, he even threw in some advise as a bonus. I instructed me on what I could do to get the bail back, which I had, and what I should do in order to get the process of restoring of my license going. The legal profession at it finest!
